  The room was a good size - double for one and comfortable. The bathroomwas very nicely appointed and clean. The breakfast was good with anassortment of espresso options. They had an English speaking staffmember available at all times and all of the front desk staff waspersonable.

  The staff was lovely. The hotel was beautifully kept and the rooms spotless. The rooms also had a modern security system and all modern amenities. The location is fabulous. My view was of the Duomo. And you step outside and turn to your left and you are in the plaza of the Duomo. It's a five minute walk to the Academia and five to the Uffizzi. The... wat mensen zeggen » continental breakfast was always fresh and the staff always welcoming. If I ever make it back to Florence I would be sure to stay there again! - The best feature is the location! You walk out the door and BAM! there's the Duomo. Waking up to the bells was an experience I will never forget. Also, it is an easy walk from the train station as well as to the major Florence attractions. It made walking around in the cool evening enjoying the city very convenient. The hotel itself is very charming, clean, and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a wonderful place to stay!!!

The breakfast was adequate. Wish it had boiled eggs.   I have known this 'hotel' for some 25 years. First it was a "locanda"; something lower than a hotel. I had not been there for a decade or more and this time found it had upgraded itself to a 'hotel,' level 3 in the Italian style of rating. I did not notice any appreciable difference with its earlier facilities.
