Not only did she show us our room, explained our to use the keys, she also recommended various really good restaurants and gelaterias and marked everything on our map.The B&B itself is old ( according to Giuliana, it was built in the 16th century) but very clean and comfortable. It takes roughly 15 mins to walk from the train station, but if you have a lot of luggage you can also - Wow! From the moment a friendly face met us at the door, to the time of our departure when our bags had been stored whilst we wandered for the last time after check-out, we appreciated everything about A Florence View. Check-in and check-out were smooth, Giuliana and her staff were welcoming and efficient, and our room very much matched the description provided of the B&B.   The location - just round the corner from the Duomo: from the terrace there was a clear view to the Duomo, Baptistry and the Campanile. The room was very good, well furnished and with plenty of space. The staff couldn't have been more helpful; they suggested possible places to eat - we only went to one of them, which was so outstanding (and good v... wat mensen zeggen » alue) that we went back. - Silvia who we met on arrival was wonderful helping us with parking arrangements for our car . She made reservations for us at a wonderful restaurant on the opposite side of the Arno river where we had the best meal in Florence.   The location is incredible. Right outside my window, so close I almost felt I could touch it, was the fantastically beautiful Il Duomo de Firenze (cathedral), Florence's most popular sight to see. You immediately feel like it's *your* piazza since you "live" there, and all the other people milling around are just tourists. The bells in the morning... wat mensen zeggen » were magical. I should add that the piazza is noisy until late at night but the windows are excellent modern double- glazed ones, and when I shut the - Unbelievable location right in front if the Duomo - was blown away by the view from my window (sometimes the hotel add isn't quite real)!given the location I thin this is a budget friendly option - I wanted the ability to enjoy views rather than have a mega room. I had solo room with single bed which was fine (all I did was sleep there) and central to everything. Kelly was really helpful for recommendations re markets (Mercato Centrale is a must) and restaurants (ZaZa's is terrific) and things

  The staff was lovely. The hotel was beautifully kept and the rooms spotless. The rooms also had a modern security system and all modern amenities. The location is fabulous. My view was of the Duomo. And you step outside and turn to your left and you are in the plaza of the Duomo. It's a five minute walk to the Academia and five to the Uffizzi. If I ever make it back to Florence I would be sure to stay there again! - The best feature is the location! You walk out the door and BAM! there's the Duomo. Waking up to the bells was an experience I will never forget. Also, it is an easy walk from the train station as well as to the major Florence attractions. It made walking around in the cool evening enjoying the city very convenient. The hotel itself is very charming, clean, and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a wonderful place to stay!!!

  Really very good location. Quite close to Piazza del Duomo, and few minutes walk to the railway station. We cannot find it on via Roma at first, for we cannot believe this would be a B&B when looked outside. The decoration is very friendly, and the staff are helpful. Lift is in ancient style, though very small, but quite interesting. Breakfas... wat mensen zeggen » t is well prepared each morning. This is the best B&B we have experienced in Italy. We will strongly recommand it to our friends. - A total class act. This B&B over exceeded my expectations in every way. You will not find a better location in Florence. Located just a few feet from Florence Cathedral, this hotel/B&B exudes so much class with a affordable rate. The room, shower and bathroom are what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. Staff are friendly and happy to speak English to their guests. Total class act, when I come back this WILL BE the hotel I try to stay at again. Grazie!

The breakfast was adequate. Wish it had boiled eggs.   The location of this hotel is superb. It is right next to the Duomo! We got upgraded to a bigger room, however the view from the room is minimal. The room is very clean, they provide all the facilities you need. You are coming out from the hotel an the Duomo is just in front of you.The room was exactly the same as described.
