  great location and wonderful view of the lake St Croix. Was fine to travel to in a car. The village of Aigines is also very quaint and beautiful. This is a great location to visit the other more popular (and more expensive to stay) areas of Verdon.   The owner was very kind and friendly, making a great attempt at English and helping us with French. She carried our heavy suitcases up the stairs made us coffee and baileys and a wonderful dinner and recommended a walk that would knock your socks off. Yes, from both the rooms we were able to see the lake,though not a panoramic view. From most places in the very pretty village you can look down to the lake. Parking is free everywhere. We would definitely use the hotel again.

  The hotel owener is a very kind madam. We really enjoy the travel there. It's better to visit during summer. A little bit cold at the end of Oct. We were the last customer in this year.   What a beautiful place to stay. Sophie was the most gracious host and she has taken care of every last detail down to the Easter eggs she left in our room for our daughter. Lovely breakfast and home. We had a great stay and will stay here again when we are in the area. I would recommend it to anyone. Perfection! - As promised, the hostess of what is effectively an up-market gitte was exceptionally welcoming and helpful; every aspect has an admirable personal touch. The nearby Verdon gorge did not disappoint, and although the town of Les Salles is rather soulless, it does support two decent restaurants.
