We stayed in a building adjacent to the hotel. The room was spacious
even for us standards. It was exceptionally clean. The staff was not
just friendly but went out of their way to help us. Martin and Milan
were exceptional. They located a fly shop in Prague and gave us
instructions on how to get there. The restaurant was very good and we
thought good value. I don't have a lot to compare with but wines
were comparable to us wine store prices in the restaurant not a 2 or 3

Nicole and her staff were extremely friendly and helpful the appt was beautiful inside very clean and well furnished the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and spotless very well positioned for tourists highly reccommended. The weather was very wet and Nicole was so helpful in finding and booking suitable restaurant for us . The taxi transfer which she arranged was also first class and good value reliable . We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.

This was my third stay at Almandine. Lov it. Location is perfect, just off the main square and 5min walk from the Charles bridge. Easy to reach all the sites from here. Staff was so helpful, and the food was terrific. Apartments were clean and comfortable. I would stay there again and I highly recommend it.

I'm very fussy and we were travelling in a group of 8. All of us could just praise the hotel. We are not the easiest of people to deal with as we can all be demamding, but there was nothing too difficult for the staff there. Theresa especially was fantastic with us.

Staff was nice. Bed comfy. Room was large with large bathroom. Location was near the castle. And because it was up the hill, it was quiet (except when the men started weed-wacking at 7 am on Sat). We got lots of exercise walking up the hill instead of taking the bus (wore off the good Prague beer). Enjoyed Karlstejn's castle, too, and the Plzen Urquell beer tour. Check the English tour times before you go. We struggled with the German :-)
