  After a weekend of alcoholic debauchery in Brno, my girlfriend and me had a last stop at Prague before leaving home. And really, this was such a difference compared to what we've experienced in Brno. The stop was the Golden Star hotel, a home from home with friendly personnel who helped us immediately. Not unlike what we experienced in Brno. Since... wat mensen zeggen » we booked a deluxe suite (room 33), we had the comfort and luxury of a real appartment just next to the main tourist attractions. Sure, the climb up - We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.

  The location of the hotel is great for exploring the city centre. Our room was spacious, furnished with period furniture, beautifully decorated and very quiet at night.   Our room was delightful, having a beautiful decorated ceiling and stained glass windows. The room was large and the bathroom was separate. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the front of house staff spoke good English. WiFi was free but was inconsistent during our stay. The staff was very apologetic about this so this was unusual.   We had a warm welcoming by a man who was very informative and helpful. All the other staff members were mostly great also (a family is running the hotel). Our room was fantastic with a great view. The fitted carpet was a bit dirty but the overall impression of the room and the bathroom was clean. We didn`t hear any sounds from other rooms, except ... wat mensen zeggen » of some footsteps from the corridor. The breakfast was quite basic (coffee, tee, 2 different kind of juices, scrambled eggs, bread, cheese, ham, natur - Excelent location, 5 minutes from the castle. Great to come back from the city at the end of the day, chill out in the bar next door and then come back to the castle to enjoy the night. The way to the guesthouse (it's not a hotel) is a little steep (Nerudova st) so if you are coming from the metro station or even from the square nearby, hold your breath (beautiful little street though!)! Breakfast simple but nice.

  First visit to Prague; we loved it. The city is simply a wonderful sight, everywhere you look. Once enormously wealthy. An experience staying in an old building. We had a spacious apartment but be prepared to carry suitcases upstairs. We arrived by car; left it at Hotel Pyramida car park. Walked everywhere and enjoyed every minute. Rooms are spacious,high ceiling, clean and comfortable, the old building brings a special atmosphere. Very very good location. Dining is easy coz this hotel also runs its own restaurant. Different experience from the modern hotels. Would like to stay again.

  This is the very nice hotel. There are so kind staff, a breakfest is not bad, a big pretty room, everyday cleaning, etc. Important for turists it is a very good place. The many touristic objects are right there, just 5-10 minutes by walk. We exactly will be stay in this hotel in next trip to Praha! It can be difficult for them to climb steep stairs. - The location is great, in the heart of the city but not in the crazy heart. You go up there is the castle you go down there is the Charl's bridge. On the way amazing restaurants very cheap and delicious. The beds are comfortable, bathroom is good. Close to the park where you can have picnic with the view to the city. Staff is very friendly.
