The "Wada Girls" were fantastic and couldn't have been nicer to us; we have 3 kids (ages 12, 12, and 9) and they were in heaven at Wada; lots of cozy places to sit and hang out/work on WiFi when not out in Guilin; food was really really good and very cheap - we ate a LOT of meals there -

I arrived late at night and the staff were very friendly and spoke good English. They gave me great tips and organised good activities for me, when I left I forgot to settle a food bill. Roy and Angel instead of asking me to come all the way back managed to let me pay at my next destination and they would charge that hotel. They really were lovely

I only have good things to say about this place. The rooms are nice, the beds confortable, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the restaurant is convenient and the location is perfect. They even offer a cup of tea at the bar with a coupon, its a much better idea to taste a cup of local tea rather than some beer usually offered at many backpackers hostels.

The hotel is located at the walking street in the center of the city. It is a very busy street, with lots of clubs open late at night. But we got a room that was not facing the street, so it was still nice and quiet in the evening. It is walking distance to most attractions, and the staff was really helpful.

While not close to the main Guilin tourist sites, you can reach most of them by a pleasant 30-40 minute walk or by a short taxi ride.

This is probably the best hotel in Guilin: good services, fresh air, green location inside a botanic garden, a perfect zen garden with a pool, lake and tea house - you will feel like an emperor!
Other aspects:
- good wifi;
- diverse breakfast;
- staff is ok with english;
- free pickup from airport and free ride from the hotel to the exit of the botanic garden;
note: that the hotel is not central but it's close to the bus and there is a mall just outside of the garden

Staff may just speak a little English but they are all well meaning and kind. There was an obnoxious guy in the hotel he was either a guest or a friend of the owner or a manager and he had the staff running around doing things and you could tell they were all on edge.
