  Very traditional accommodation; the chance to stay in an authentic palafito right on the waterfront. Property boasts original features, quirky furnishings. Lovely breakfast at nearby cafe. Staff very friendly. We stayed as a couple but property had enough beds for 4 adults, 2 children and a baby (in the cutest cot bed) - A spectacular apartment-... wat mensen zeggen » like accommodation on stillts. It has a writing area with a view, a kitchen, a day bed and a king size bed, and a two room bathroom, one which contains a claw-foot tub.

  Really cosy feel when you enter the hostal, lots of timber everywhere which gives the place a warm feeling. Staff were really really nice and helpful, spoke english really well. The shared bathroom was huge and really clean with a nice big shower. Our twin room was basic and comfortable with closet space and a tv. Only a few blocks to the bus stat... wat mensen zeggen » ion to catch buses to Ancud and Parque Nacional Chiloe. - Friendly, easy-going comfortable establishment. Very helpful host (Luis). Be aware that the bathrooms are shared (as advertised), but this wasn't a problem for us as they were kept spotless. A good low-cost option for staying in Castro.
