I liked the access. It was so close to the subway in a truly awesome part of the city. I also liked that all the breakfast items were available and you just made it yourself. The next best thing to actually having your own home in the city. Room was nice. with good air conditioning in the room. Staff was nice and welcoming. Oven available to cook, fridge. cosy room, comfortable bed, nice lounge with PC and telephone, huge number of pubs and eateries in the area.

The person who checked us in was friendly and for the price we paid it was lovely. Really, location is what makes this place worth it. Great location, great wifi (free), nice bedroom, nice to receive an email prior to arrival with directions. Nice staff when present one time during four days. The area was attractive. The location was great, tonnes of restaurants and pubs in the area, and allowed us a very late check-in which was highly convenient. Location and convenience to the subway. it is ok for bachelor b/c it is in budget. Nothing good in that to say. Only the location was good. The weather in Toronto that week. The shower only had cold water. I informed the staff who said they would get the problem fixed. There is only one bathroom for many rooms with multiple occupants, so we often had to wait in line. The third floor room where we stayed was too warm (in apr) and it was difficult to open windows as they needed to be propped open and one had no screen. Bathroom was not very clean. Staff was basically absent. Very simple breakfast that you had to prepare yourself. No information about breakfast and basically non-present staff in advance. weak breakfast, shared bathroom for too many travellers; unsafe - no fire exit; stairs too narrow. The shared bathroom needs to be renovated; creeky stairs may wake some people up at night; and when I got to my room there was a fat centipede. The windows need to be replaced and sealed; a lot of noise coming from outside. Cleanliness. Bathroom needed to be clean. Bedroom and common area was very dusty. Some kinda air circulation (portable fan or ceiling fan) would have been nice. We should have not cooked our own Complimentary breakfast. There was no staff to attend only one person is there. Its a house like building which has 6 rooms for rent. not at all good for family. Worst B&B we've been to in years. Very poor hygiene, especially in bathroom and kitchen. Limited breakfast, drinks had expired. No water on the second day, so we were unable to take a shower. Nobody could be reached on the phone number of the B&B-owner to solve the water problem or at least give us an explanation. Unfriendly staff.
