  The staff was incredibly helpful, setting up a waterfall tour for us on the spot. They were also able to check us in early and allowed a late checkout, which was fantastic for our rather hectic travel schedule. The pousada overall was completely charming, and we loved the pool and restaurant that came with it. The room was small, but very clean and modern. It was central to everything and a short walk to the boats for day trips to the islands and swimming. I would highly recommend the Pousada Do Ouro.

  Location was excellent if you have a car -- a 2-3 minute drive to the edge of the historic area. The pousada is right on the river, which you can see from both the pool and the open-air restaurant. It was relaxing to get away from the bustle of the center of town and sit outside in a peaceful setting. Very professional and attentive as well as warm.. Our chalé was spacious with large bed and good quality software bedding. The breakfast was very good - great variety of fruits, juices, breads, cheeses, all served al fresco with small cute monkeys watching from surrounding trees. Thank you Magia Verde team for a lovely relaxing holiday in Paraty! I look forward to returning next year.
