  The ladies working there were just lovely! One stayed on until after midnight to check us in when our flight was delayed. They were so helpful with all of our questions. The place has a really homey feel to it. Interesting, historic, very comfortable. Easy stroll to the train station where everything is easily accessible. Great part of town for us... wat mensen zeggen » , as we hate touristy areas. With it being a budget style b&b, we did not expect such a delicious, hot breakfast! Eggs, bacon/sausage, toast, yog - The staff is so nice. Very family atmosphere. Old house with clean and warm setting.

  This is the third time that we have stayed here as a stopover on a drive from Sydney to Northern Gold Coast. Riverview Lodge is in a very pretty, quiet setting. There are two restaurants nearby or a pleasant riverside walk takes you to the bistro at the White Albatross pub where seafood is a speciality. Rooms are nicely furnished, warm and comfort... wat mensen zeggen » able. The cooked breakfast is an added bonus. I would thoroughly recommend Riverview Lodge to anyone wanting a peaceful stay in a beautiful part of NS - A great BnB in a fantastic location for all amenities in walking distance. After touring Australia using hotels it was nice to have the excellent standard found in most English country BnBs. The idea place for anybody stay, wi-fi, off road parking, help with cases to room an extremely recommended place to stay.

  Arriving a little later then planned (11pm) I was greeted very kindly and escorted to our cabin. The staff are extremely helpful and make you feel welcome. In the morning when asking for a late checkout, I received this without any problem. The place is isolated and quiet, excellent if you like your privacy! The cabins are a little average but the... wat mensen zeggen » surroundings sure make up for it. I will be definitely staying there again in the near future. Jeff & Sus: - Excellent place! The owners were so friendly and gave us a warm welcome. It not like a hotel where you feel so disconnected from everyone, there really is a sense of spirituality and friendliness in our stay at Ferndale. I will be bringing my family here soon!

Parking in Sydney is hard to find, The B&B has made arrangements for convenient parking right in front of the B&B. - Staying in a house so old was really impressive.   Host family were delightful. View was beautiful (early spring) and common areas were welcoming, comfortable and homely. Perfect for two self catered nights either side of a day in the snow / day of summer hiking.   The location was great - only minutes' walk from the railway station. Our queen en-suite room was adequate; the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom larger than average. Best of all, there was decent ground coffee and a plentiful supply of plungers.   Loved this B & B , Sandra & Darrel have done an amazing job with design ,presentation , comfort & all the home made food . We stayed in the spa room it was heaven could not find fault every thing was purrr fect . - everything absolutely beautifull will be back, weve never stayed at a b&b we loved it very quiet and great breakfast.
