Basildene manor was faultless. The staff were wonderful, the grounds breathtaking, the room divine. We had afternoon tea of scones with cream and jam, and they were delicious. Breakfast in the morning wow we were so very impressed with the quality and abundance of it all, from the different poached pears to the full cooked, so very happy with our stay. Excellent, obliging staff (a particular hats-off to Rachel) Superb location, set in the most stunning gardens Gorgeous room - quiet and peaceful And truly the best hotel breakfast I have ever had - everything presented perfectly, quality produce, delicious - overlooking the beautiful garden! Enough superlatives??!!.
alle beoordelingen » From entering the driveway we just loved the history and ambience of the manor. The grounds were meticulous and we just loved the original family's photos around the manor and the coffee table books including the history of Basildene. We preferred the old world charm and relaxation within the building and around the grounds. We weren't impressed with Margaret River, the town, but so glad we stayed at your establishment else we would have been very bored!. The rooms were above our expectations. But we were truly delighted with the garden, lake and the great care that is taken to every detail. Breakfast was great, such a delicious spread each morning - thank you. The style, the efficient staff both in reception and in the breakfast room, the excellent choice of breakfast and the perfect way it was cooked, the quiet nature of the hotel and the excellent gardens. Historical setting & information supplied. The gardens are amazing. Breakfast was well done & the staff were very friendly & helpful. We also enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Beautiful hotel and magnificent gardens. Rooms have recently been refurbished and were a wonderful surprise. Stayed at Cape Lodge the previous night and this hotel was just as fabulous!. The personal touch with farewell scones. The gardens. The wildlife. The facilities. The decor (old photos in the lobby). The friendly staff. The renovated amenities in the rooms. The building, the location, the rooms. downstairs is still under renovation, but there is no problem with this. Staff are particularly friendly. breakfast. Everything about our stay was excellent especially the fabulous breakfast each day. We loved the hotel and gardens. Wonderful location and staff were most welcoming. Very small niggle for my husband - poor Internet connection Even smaller niggle - only breakfast is served at the hotel. Would be amazing if they could do dinner too. Our room was a little small. If there were any dislike it was that town was a 25 to 30 min walk from the Manor. The taxi service in the area is terrific and prompt though. Having to return to Perth...... Nada. I liked it all. Nothing. didnt have enough time to stay longer. The swimming pool and tennis courts were both closed even though they were included in the cost. Very disappointing!. Bed a,little soft.
