we chose tho stay here as we didn't want to be right in the middle of town. It' s a 25 minute walk to the Minster though there is a bus stop right outside if you want save your legs. The location was nice & quiet with hardly any traffic. The room was large, clean & comfy & there was plenty of nice food for breakfast. The hosts were friendly & helpful & were able to give us some really useful information. We will definitely stay there again when we return to york next year.

We would certainly visit again and would stronglyrecommend to others. - The levels of cleanliness were exceptional. The room was decorated to a high standard and was modern and fresh looking. Staff were very welcoming. The food was excellent and plentiful. The location was ideally situated for both the city centre and the railway station. Would definitely recommend based on our stay and will be back on our next visit.

Staff were very helpful and polite. Room was immaculate and very comfortable. Also parking on site was a great bonus. Only 10 minute, nice walk into the centre. - The guest house was lovely and clean and the room was the same we were really pleased with it and will definately stay there next time we come to York.

Pulizia - We really enjoyed our stay at the Ashbourne House. The room was fantastic and very inviting. The breakfast was very good and included many choices. There was an excellent selection for breakfast. The hotel was within walking distance of the city and not too far from other attractions. Paul and Julie were welcoming and helpful when we needed information during our stay. I would recommed this hotel to anyone.

Freindly, welcoming and helpful staff. Delicious lemon cake as welcome in our room! Location was excellent, close to city walls, York Minster and shopping! Warm reception upon arrival and very welcoming hostess. Upgraded room without asking. Room four very comfortable and peaceful , as a result beware of oversleeeping. Heating temperature just right. loved the location, it really was a 10 minute walk down the river. We were three adults so the triple room was really good for us, it was clean, comfortable and quiet (we at a room at the back). Landlady was welcoming, helpful and informative and let me leave my car there till we left on the evening after we had checked out, Breakfast was good too. Good value for money.
