  The hotel is very clean and comfortable and I like the organic and ethical concepts. I had an evening meal which was exceptional - very tasty. The rooms are well equipped (Irons Hairdryers, shower gell, shampoo etc, which makes it a nice touch and convenient. I would stay again if visiting this area. - We loved everything about the stay! We enjoyed the hospitality of Jackie and she was very very accommodating! The room was so lovely, wonderful size, very well furnished, and overlooked the lovely garden in the back. The quality of the fittings and the bedding was superb. I had a wonderful night's sleep and the breakfast was wonderful! I 100% recommend! Such value for money and very attentive as well as a great location! Very nice!

  We firstly were taken aback by the friendly welcome we recieved on arriving a bit later than expected at 11pm with a 1 yr old and a 4 yr old & 16 yr old ,after a 6 hour drive that should have taken us 4hrs , we were all tired to say the least !!! , and bar staff gave us some milk for the baby for the morning as we ran out enroute ! ( god send)... cosa dice la gente » !!!! &Amp; no extra charge !!! Thank You :-) and on checking our room realised we needed a travel cot (thought id booked one prior) the staff very - All the staff were excellent, especially Will on Reception who sorted us out with some extra pillows. The bed was comfortable, although the room was a little warm (it has no air-conditioning), the food was very good and also excellent value. The hotel has some lovely outdoor space, including a duckpond with some beautiful black swans and is set back from the road, so there is no traffic noise to disturb your sleep.

  Everything about this place was wonderful. The owner, Sarah, couldn't do enough for us, including contacting us before we went to discuss such things as how high we would want the heating in the room to be, what the options for breakfast were, and loads of information about places to visit nearby. Our room was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go - Fordwater is a home away from home. As a lone business traveler it was important for me to feel comfortable which I did. I was looked after very well, the service from (before) you arrive to the day you leave is excellent. It is extremely clean with spacious rooms. The breakfast was excellent and the owner makes sure that she tailors everything to your needs. I have been back 2 times and will be re-booking for another business trip this week.
