The owners, Simon & David, were very friendly & welcoming. The breakfast was great, with a good choice of dishes. There were some nice little touches, like providing tissues etc. The beds were very comfortable too. I would definitely stay there again.

Friendly owner (Ian) rang us before our arrival on the day and met us as we arrived even though it was late. Ian checked what we would like for breakfast the following day (and did this each day of our stay) and gave us a map of the local area- pointing out things of interest. I stayed there for 2 nights with my frd. Ian and Lynn were very friendly and helpful. The room and the en suite bathroom are super comfortable and clean. The breakfast is also good.
The hotel locates in a tranquil block just besides a brook and is about 10 minutes walk from Windermere railway station & bus stop. To me it was not too far and there are many good gift shops on the way from the station to the hotel.

We had a wonderful and most memorable stay at Kirkwood Guest House. Firstly Mags and Boys were fabulous hosts and Boyd was incredibly helpful with giving us advice and highly detailed directions to the area which he knows incredibly well. The location of Kirkwood couldn't be better - 5 minutes walk to both Windermere and Bowness-on-Windemere where there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from and delightful and quaint shops to explore.
The guesthouse is beautifully appointed and spotless

Great welcome and comfortable room. Exceptionally good breakfasts - well cooked and served. Good attention to detail. Very short walk along the road to Windermere shops and restaurants. The 7 pound bus will take you to the lakes - stops at end of road. We went up to Grasmere to see Dove Cottage, Wordsworth's beloved home. We asked about doing some washing and it was done overnight. More than anything, the hosts. The most helpful and friendliest I have ever met. Even if the appartment had been less than perfect (which it wasn't) it wouldn't have mattered because Graham & Janett are just so nice ! Very clean shower ! We loved our stay at the Boundary. We went for my wifes birthday and loved everything about it. We stayed in the Hobbs room with a 4 poster bed and gorgeous bathroom. The staff and owner were friendly and extremely helpful. All in all I highly recommend staying here and we will definately be back in the future.

Andy and Jenny were very friendly and helpful when it came time to plan for the days we were spending in and around Windemere. The location was walkable to some villages, but to the trailheads a car or bus was required. The room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. Overall a great B&B experience!

The Location of Parsonage House is really good being just outside of Windermere and Bowness and within walking distance of one of the best pubs in the Lake District.
