The refurbished rooms are excellent, staff were very friendly, the freecoffee stations in the hotel foyer were unusual to find in a hotel butvery handy. Lesley the landlady was very accommodating and friendly, the house was very well kept and clean, the room we had (the family room) was perfect, spacious and well equipped, in all the very best B&B we have stayed in and we have experienced many hotels and B&Bs over the years. -

After a 2 night stay at The Wellington Arms I found the staff VERY friendly and nothing was too much bother. The hotel has a bar with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The hotel was clean, although slightly dated and the heating was too hot for our liking, this resulting in a restless night BUT I would certainly stay here again. -

I.e drove us to the wedding venue after taxi let us down, free of charge. We were a party of 12 and the next morning they set up a table with 12 place settings for us all. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone

The staff at Reading South were fantastic and there was nothing that was too much trouble for them. Their local knowledge was second to none, with always a friendly smile which made you wish you could stay longer.
