It was like home from home. We were made to feel welcome even before we arrived. Tyron phoned me to confirm the booking and it was like we had known him for years. His wife Joanne was lovely aswel. She cooks an amazing breakfast certainly sets you up for the day. The rooms were very clean and well equipped with everything you need. If you need anything they will get it for you. Everything! The couple who own the Hotel made me feel very welcome. The Hotel is lovely, my room was immaculate and breakfast was great. Its in a fantastic location for the Torbay area and walking distance from Torre station. A very friendly welcome on our arrival,Everything explained. Owners very attentive but not intrusive. Bedroom and furnishings immaculate and the view from our room (8) across the bay very impressive. Binoculars in the room a nice touch. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and the choice had to be seen to be believed. Given the lack of parking generally in the Torbay area the car park was much appreciated. No noise heard at all at nigt even with windows open.
Will certainly be visiting again 4 st

Heather and John were warm, very helpful, flexible and welcoming! The gardens and grounds are stunningly beautiful and the whole place was inbued with care and love :) An organic B+B - even had natural shampoos in the bathroom and very friendly cats... The location was perfect with everything on our doorstep, we parked the car in their car park(added bonus) and did not need to drive again till we left.
Caroline and Alan great hosts with a very welcome tray of tea when we arrived and great breakfast. Longmead is a beautiful house that is full of warmth and character. Would definately stay there again.

The room was large and very clean with tasteful decor. We liked that there was a strong sense of Eco-friendliness about the hotel too. We were made to feel very welcomed, and had as much help as we needed getting to and from places and finding out the best places to eat. I know it's not particularly Eco friendly, but a bath would have been a bonus

The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough to accomodate our requests. It was very close to Torre train station (less than a few minutes' walk) and not too far a walk into Torquay itself. We were impressed with the facilities the hotel offered and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - simple but nice touches such as offering us a drink on arrival and offering local information (eating out, transport etc).

The proprietors were very welcoming and friendly and very helpful when my mother became ill whilst we were staying there.
The room was very clean and furnished with a modern taste.
There was a good amount of tea, coffee, milk etc and a couple of small touches such as a chocolate and some biscuits made it feel special.
The breakfast was well cooked and served promptly.
