The outside compared to others in the area can be deceiving but don't let it trick you.
From the moment we walked in we felt walcomed, shown to our room which was upgraded free;) Perfect quiet location, only a short walk to the main streets. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! -

The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were well equipped with Molton Brown toiletries which is always a bonus. Nice corner bath too.
A few of us dined in the restaurant Sunday. Food very good as was the extensive wine list. The staff and owner were very friendly so will definitely return again.

Room had a lovely sea view and close to town and was walking distance to Orme and tram ride to summit. Weather was beautiful and a lot going on with the Victorian Extravaganza weekend. Breakfast was adequate and staff were attentive.The new owners having been there for only six months were striving to improve hotel and with the refurbishments they have done have improved the presentation immensley. We loved everything about this hotel. The owners could not have been more helpful, from advice about the local area, helping us get a table at a restaurant to helping us with a car problem. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless, roomy and very tastefully decorated. Breakfasts were really good. The hotel is centrally located and a very short and easy walk to many restaurants and pubs and to the pier and beach front. Could not recommend this hotel highly enough!
