Alberghi vicino a London Eye

I stayed at this hotel only for one night with my husband. We had the superior double room. It was spacious and clean. Our room even had an ironing board with an iron in it!!! The breakfast was delicious and there was a variety. But make sure you go before 9 a.m. as you have to wait for a table( there was a long queue) I didn't like the view from our room- just brick walls and the top of the London eye( a tiny bit). I do recommend this hotel. Oh! I forgot. The gym was well equipped-there was e - Brendan

Booked this hotel as the reviews were excellent. Was delighted with everything except the breakfast. We booked an alloted time slot, but still the breakfast was a shambles. Both mornings they ran out of plates, or main items from the cooked breakfast. Because of this queues were ridiculous, and what should have been an enjoyable breakfast was in fact a stressful one. Would think twice about having the breakfast there again. The price covered "as much as you could eat" but we on - Margaret

We had a lovely room overlooking Big Ben and Parliament. The view was so wonderful, the nights were spectacular watching the boats and the river lights. The weather was warm and balmy and the walks along the river embankment were spectacular. The hotel is in a perfect location, the staff superb and the service top notch. I shall return again soon.The County Hall Marriot is a perfect holiday hotel. - Marilynn

I stayed in this hotel last month and was incredibly pleased with everything. I was in a 'single' room but it was the equivalent of a double room in a regular London hotel. The reception is vast and clean and inviting. Just outside of the bustle of Trafalgar Square this is a classy hotel where anyone can feel welcome. The quality of the room was fantastic and I had a great night sleep in a comfortable (great quality) bed. I believe they're currently redoing the restaurant to be open soon but - Edward

I had the pleasure of spending 4 nights at this chain hotel during a recent European tour with a student travel group. The price of the hotel was part of the tour package so of course, my opinion of the value is a bit skewed. But as far as the facilities themselves, I was pleasantly surprised. On previous London group tours I usually found myself in accomodations akin to "The Royal Windsor Arms" in "National Lampoon's European Vacation". This Days Inn was the usual cookiecutt - Kirsty

I stayed at the Strand Palace for work at the end of September 2009. I had a Club Single which was very clean, albeit the usual small size of London hotel rooms. It was facing one of the inner courtyards and with it being a bit of a heat wave, it was very, very hot. This was the main drawback for me but forewarned is forearmed and the reviews here at least led me to expect that. I slept on top of the duvet with the fan going all night! This is a fabulous hotel. Service was exceptional. Location was fabulous. Close to many resturants, sites such asBuckingham Palace and best of all Theater District. The staff was alway willing to provid helpful tips durig th stay. The room was also great. I have found a hotel in London that meets all of my needs. - Nigel

Stayed on the weekend with my girlfriend. Never heard of the hotel before but I will never forget it now. We had booked a river room and when they say it is a great view, they were not lying. We met some friends for afternoon tea in the hotel and was very suprised. They had cakes made out tin the shape of london landmarks like St Pauls Cathedral and Big Ben. The only down side was the bathroom looked a bit dated. I will definately be coming again and will mention to all my friends. - Suzanne

Staff extremely professional but bordered on unfriendly. Location was perfect for the sightseeing I wanted to do (tube station was a bit too far away) Rooms were clean enough. But for the price paid everything was more than adequate. Would stay there again. - Pauline
