  Everything! Everything was fabulous!! We were met from our taxi by the doorman who asked our surname, which he repeated into his lapel. We walked through the revolving doors and were met by a lovely lady who greeted us by name and showed us the hotel and finally to our room. We had bookings for Afternoon - Smooth easy quick check in Junior suite, Art Deco Style Fabulous, bathroom huge, walk in shower with rain head huge, Free standing bath plenty of room for two. Afternoon Tea, delicious, was my bithday, they played happy birthday and bought a cake with candle, you can have as much as you want...service amazing. Dinner at Kaspers, very busy, Seated at a table with everyone coming back and forth on either side, not good, asked to be moved to the bar, done with no fuss, lovely dinner and wine. Used

The room we had was fabulous - they had taken note of what my husband had said on the booking form - that it was a birthday treat - and as a result we were upgraded, got a birthday card from the management and complimentary birthday patiserries. If you are looking for - Class, sophistication and elegance. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The Artesian Bar makes the best cocktails in the world. The food at Roux (2 x Michellin Stars) is superb. Afternoon tea in the Palm Court is an absolute must. Gym, sauna, steam room, pool and spa pool are all very well equipped.   Particular thanks and complement to the young lady at the reception. Booking know how extensively I stay in hotels and can honestly say this reception has been the best ever - The location was quite good. You can walk many different sides of the City just in at most 15-20 min. The room was large enough and well equipped for such a hotel.
