Cosa dice la gente
First, the staff was very friendly and helpful : making a room
available before regular check in time; helping out our friends finding
a taxi back to their hotel; searching out stuff for us on the net...
Etc Then the room was spacious, clean, nicely decorated, to our taste,
really. The location was excellent : 15 min walk to the grand palace, 3
min walk from a boat pier that takes you to all the sightseeings, and
just around the corner from KhaoSan rd, which is convenient to find
anything, exce. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
The staff here were very friendly and professional and we couldn't believe that they had a cake in our room wishing us a 'Happy Honeymoon' and my husband a 'Happy Birthday'. What a lovely personal touch!
The rooms have a definite touch of luxury to them and were very clean. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and the toiletries smelled fabulous.
They have a beautiful area down by the pool with lovely poolside beds and bar service.
The location is very convenient and is wit.
This small lovely hotel is situated on the river front close to the ferry and to bus stations and most importantly the koasan road. The hotel is fabulous, beautiful and comfortable. Staff - friendly and kind. It is very convenient. I would definitely stay there again. The rooms facing the river are amazing- do take only them. The rooms facing the street are noisy and loud (traffic early in the morning and loud music from the pubs across the street till 1 AM).
A boutique hotel that delivers excellent service. The staff are very attentive and do their utmost to please. The rooms are extremely comfortable, and some overlook the Chao Praya River and the pool where you get a great view of the ebb and flow of river life in Bangkok. The breakfast is excellent with many choices. The restaurant is also excellent with a mix of many cultures including of course Thai. We loved our stay.
1.Location. Just beside of Pier 13, easy to arrive the Grand Palace and
temples by boat (Pier 8), 5 minutes walk to Kaoshan Road(restaurants,bars,7-
11 store, drug store) and far enough from the noise. Easy to find taxi,
bus and tuktuk (motor taxi) outside the hotel. 2.Nice staffs, 5 stars
service and hotel facilitis, luxury, comfortable and relax hotel, with
beautiful river view.
- extremely helpful and welcoming staff
- good cocktails at the bar (with a relaxing lounge atmosphere)
- at the riverside and 50m from a boat stop (which is the best way to get to the sights)
- lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby (incl. khao san road)
- walking distance from the grand palace and reclining buddha.
The friendliness of the staff at all times even when dealing with confusion over our check in was delightful and everyone was very professional. The location is superb with easy access to private and public river taxis and all of the classic temples and tourist sites within walking distance.
Lovely facilities, warm and inviting, staff helpful though limited
English, small enough to feel like a Thai hotel, while Western enough to
be comfortable. Great value for the money. Street is very noisy, so
those wanting quiet must get a river view room, which is perfectly quiet.
Stunning decor. Comfy bed with proper duvet. Fabulous rain shower. Gorgeous pool area to lounge and sip cocktails, have a massage whilst watching the river boats. I didn't want to leave the hotel to sightsee!. Great location on the river for transport to sights.
The hotel has a great location just next to the Chao Phraya river and is close to the most important monuments. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Breakfast great! Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Its definetly worth to take a river-view room.
location is great and right next to the river. Close to all main things on this side of the river, 15 min by walk to King Palace, Khao San Rd. is in 2 min. Staff were very kind. Loved the room with a balcony (nice river view, especially in the evening).
The staff were extremely friendly, spoke very good English and went out of their way to be helpful, we were upgraded for free to a river view room, albeit the view was obscured, still I appreciated the effort, all in all, a great hotel.
Peaceful location by the river and yet opposite alleyway which led to some great restaurants and market stalls. Very competent, friendly and helpful staff who spoke Emglish well. Poolside bar cocktails, divine :-).
The location is great, is good to people who have few time to spend in
bangkok. Is near to the main temples, restaurantes, thai massagem, the
pier and kao sand road. Very confortable the staff are very kindly.
Comfortable rooms in a great location. Walking distance to most of the sights of Bangkok and right on the river with a pool. Staff were very helpful. All in all a great hotel for a reasonable price!.
AMAZING hotel!
Friendly helpful staff
Great location
Lovely pool
Food is delicious!
Rooms were clean and huge with big balconies
Very good value for money
..........Pretty much everything.
The location - excellent on the rivers of Chayo Praya and with a view on the Rama VIII bridge.
Nice deco , nice chill out space - so really nice if you plan to have diner in the hotel.
Location is excellent! You are just a short walk away from restaurants, temples and in a nice area. The ferry pier is 2 mins walk away. We had a river view room so was nice and quiet.
Hotel was very comfortable. Staff were outstanding. Location was unbeatable for convenience to sights and Khao San district. Food at breakfast and restaurant was excellent.
The staff accomadating our desires. We received a massage and a meal after closing time. Also, the location was great, centrally located while quiet towards the river.
The lovely view of the river, so peaceful. Lovely breakfast with good coffee. The closeness of lots of bars and restuarants. The transfer to and from the airport.
When we checked in someone on staff noticed from our passports that it was my 77th Birthday. About 8.00 that evening a very nice cake arrived. Thank you so much.
The hotel is great. The room is nice and comfortable. Staff really helpful and the breakfast is really decent. Swimming pool and the external area amazing.
Lovely location. 10 minute walk to Koasaan road. Lots going on, on the street outside the hotel. Facilities are excellent and the staff are very friendly.
The staff at Riva Surya are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is perfectly located and I would certainly stay there again.
Great location near the temples, KaoSan Road and a boat pier, nice swimming pool over the river, friendly and efficient staff, top quality rooms.
This is a lovely new Hotel by the river. The "Orange" ferry stops alongside it, which connects with the monorail to the shopping district.
Very good hotel with wonderful staff, everything was really clean and nice. The restaurant absolutely suggested. Location is perfect!.
Great location. The rooms overlooking the river are best. Staff is
extremely helpful and cordial (typical Thai). Very comfortable.
Really good place, near to Kaosan road
Swimming pool with view to river
Clean and comfortable room
Really polite personal!.
Superb location on the river, (DO get a river view room).
Staff couldn't do enough for us.
Restaurant and bar excellent.
The hotel is new, excellent building, location is great and the staff are fantastic, the river view rooms are the pick.
Location, atmosphere, view on the river ,beds amazing, relaxing.Simply everything perfect for a staying in such big city.
A haven of tranquility in a bustling city. The riverside rooms were pleasantly quiet. All the staff were excellent.
Extremely kind staff, design, comfort, food, swimming pool, close to Royal palace, Wat Pho and National museum.
lovely swimming pool; easily to get to the pier. staffs are really helpful. and we do love the room decoration.
Excellent location. Excellent breakfast. Very professional and friendly staff. Room and view to die for.
Great location downtown on the river. Very good rooms. Good food. They arranged very good tours for us.
The hotel ambience in general, the pool, the bathroom, the balcony. The location right at the river.
All good other than a leaky drain outside room 516 which meant we didn't sleep so well one night!.
Location ! Fabulous room over looking river ! Bed was great ! Staff really helpful and pleasant !.
Good position, good restaurant, nice view on the river, nice contemporary decoration.
It was a great place to stay, close to the main attactions with very helpful staff.
Very nice interiour design!
Kind staff but....
Nice market just across the street.
Close to Kao San Road
Lovely swimming pool
Nice and friendly staff.
Beautiful hotel with a clean and nice service. Perfect location.
The friendly staff, the location close to Angkor Wat, the pool.
Excelent location for sightseeing. Comfortable and quiet rooms.
Location, pool, cleanliness and staff were very friendly.
Very nice rooms great view the pool setting is fantastic.
The swimming pool was a little too overexposed for us to enjoy it. Two
other down sides : no breakfast variation from one day to the next;
noises from boat traffic on the river that even the double glazed
windows could not prevent.
Nothing. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying there again on my next visit to Bangkok.
The rooms facing the street are way too noisy. The glass window does not block even remotely the loud music from across the street and then the traffic noise wakes you early in the morning. Take a room on the river side.
The hotel is located in a narrow and busy street, there is a bar just in
front of the hotel (open the window you can see it) with live music
until 2 o'clock in the morning, don't book the rooms with the
city view if you have problem to sleep, the rooms with the river view is
more quiet, but more expensive.
- if you have a room with city view you may have some hindrance from the karaoke bar across the street during weekends.
There was some disorganisation at first but this was probably caused by a friend deciding to join me at the last minute. The layout of the breakfast was a little confusing and the toaster was broken but these were all very minor issues.
Staff's English is really quite limited. Good enough for the basics,
but even explaining direction to locations was hard for almost all of
them. Not insurmountable but not ideal.
Breakfast only included one small cup of coffee served by a waitress which took a long time to arrive. A large coffee pot of nice imported coffee for self service would be perfect.
Pool isn't great and closed in 5 or 6pm because restaurant is opening for dinner.
Nothing negative springs to mind.
Whilst all rooms provide the same luxury bedding, don't book 'urban view' rooms unless you plan to stay up late each night. Bar across the road operates until 1am and with balcony door shut is still very noisy.
The breakfest could be more Thailand than English.
The rooms facing the road were quite noisy at night so if possible get a rover view, however I don't think you can avoid some noise in Bangkok.
That I couldnt stay here longer!.
On booking it was written that this hotel had a spa which is not true, and for me this was the main reason for my booking there.
It was quite noisy.
the swimming pool rather small compared to the appearance in the photos on the website.
Overall, I think the price is rather high for the quality. Also, I had one price on letsbookhotel.com when booking, and another price (slightly higher) at the hotel and in the email confirmation.
Everything was good.
Nothing. We like is all.
In a very hard thunder storm the roof over the balcony leaked and soaked all the furniture for the following day.
The only down point was that the hotel ask 100b fee to call for a taxi. So it cost us 500b to go to the airport.
Mosquitos on the lobby.
Noise in the evening due to the bars just in front, and the street as well. Travelling with a baby, we would have liked something quieter but I guess in Bangkok is difficult to find.
Breakfast offerings not adequate to price, albeit in accordance to hotel
pricing range.
The city view rooms are quite a bit noisier, especially between 8PM and midnight when the live music across the road is playing.
Absolutely nothing!.
a little bit different to compare to the pic., 'cause they don't have a rocking chair by the window as the picture showed us.
My lunch wasn't that great.
Far from the shopping complex near the American hotels. Bangkok has no rapid transit in the downtown area so access to the airports is expensive.
The only fair comment I have to make is the fact that my room was a bit noisy. The walls seem not to be too thick. Maybe I just had bad luck with the neighbours since they were partying quite loudly.
Buffet breakfast looked great had good choice but the cooked items were cold, disappointed with that, didn't order for the second morning !!.
My room with city view was noisy during the night. To avoid.
Extremely noisy location: non-stop music or loud engines from (party) boats.
Staff speaks unfortunately very little English.
Breakfast is very poor.
The breakfast was kind of poor (not restocked), and the amenities not replaced.
Staff strongly suggests that the guest can break something in the room.
Staff not bad but not very helpfull either.
