Great location and very helpful staff with rooms at a reasonable price. The rooms are very clean, uncluttered and comfortable. The location is right by the train station but tucked away on a quiet street so you have the convenience of being near all transportation but without all the noise. A good central location for both Basel and getting to and from France, Germany and other Swiss cities.
Rooms need blackout blinds or curtains. There is a lot of ambient light because of the location so windows let in too much light at night.
Very good location(close to the main railway station), friendly staff, a very confortable room with good free wifi. The shower has high water pressure.
Nothing special. The price is high but it is kind of reasonable in Basel. The room was old-fascion but somehow it has a nice confortable feel

Great staff-they tried to find us at train station when we had trouble locating the hotel, which turned out to be just 1/2 block away; they waited for us to come down for breakfast (we did not realize it was included). So helpful!

The hotel suite was excellent, beyond our expectations, with newly renovated bathrooms.
The lift did not go to the top floor where our suite was located, making it difficult for carrying suit cases up to the rooms. The carpet in our suite needed to be replaced.
Very kind, polite and helpful staff giving information for everything around and the interesting points of Basel. WIFI on each floor. 3 parking places very close to the hotel costs you 20 CHF.
No AC which might be a bit frustrating during the warm days otherwise there is no need of AC at all. ;)

This was my third or fourth stay and the hotel people recognised me and gave me a great welcome. So close to Basel station. Comprehensive Swiss style breakfast.

the beds , location & breakfast was good on our way back we were given room 304 which was lovely
we stayed in room 305 on our way out to austria the bath and shower were only big enough for children . so if your on the larger side i would ask for a room with walk in shower

Location to train station
The staff were very helpful, knowledgable, eager to please, sympathetic to your requirements. The hotel's facilities are all there in abundance despite there being a 'miniature' aspect to the hotel. The breakfast and the bar facilities are friendly with a good atmosphere. ( I didn't experience lunch or dinner)
The hotel is small. This was not an issue to me - but may be for some others.

It was central. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful and forthcoming with information about Basel.

Location only 1 minute from Basle Hbf and Tram station. Good bar service and friendly family staff. Excellent hotel for breaking journey due to proximity to transport.
Only arrived at gone 9pm and left before 8.30am to catch train so didn't have time to dislike anything - hotel does what it says - it's a small friendly hotel at transport hub.

Not a lot to dislike. Some noise at night as you might expect from a location near the main railway station, but it was excellent for local transport links around the city
Proximity to train station
I had to check out extremely early and wanted to pay the evening before, however was told I should pay with the night porter on checkout, it wouldn't be a problem. However, the night porter was busy with other duties in the cellar and buy the time I had found him and he had taken the payment, I was 10 minutes later in leaving the hotel as had planned, resulting in a mad dash to the train station.
