  I stayed here in 1977 and again in May 2013 and was surprised at how little has changed. It has been enlarged, but the welcome and atmosphere are still the same. The hotel sits on a hill above the town and is only a short walk down to the centre of town but a steep walk back up. The location is perfect for a stopover near to the motorway.
