  July 2013. This pension is located just a couple of minutes from Sol, the centre of Madrid, and was a perfect base for our stay. Rooms were clean with a shower and sink, and ceiling fan. Shared toilet down the hall was clean. Wifi was fast. Staff were friendly and helpful despite not speaking English. Midday checkout is nice. The staff is very friendly and helful and rooms look like normal hotel rooms. The accomadations were really great in terms of price/quality. The location is the best you can have, being 5 minutes way from Plaza Mayor or Puerta del Sol, Mercado de San Miguel, Gran Via, etc. Definetly the place to stay whenever we go to madrid.

When checking in I got keys to the room and front door, which was very convinient, because in other hostels sometimes you dont get the keys and have to leave them at the reception desk every time you get out (which is something which I really do not like in other hostels).

  location is more than perfect in the middle of the very live street in Madrid. you can just go down and you will see people still going walking everywhere even at 2:00pm. Staff were friendly and you can leave your luggage there after checking out.
