This is a real hotel, not a B&B. They have 24 hour desk coverage, secure luggage storage, a few vending machines, and their own cafeteria which we did not take advantage of. The location of the building right in front of Atocha train station, very helpful if you are traveling by train to other cities or to take the airport bus. Also an excellent location to visit the 3 most important museum in Madrid; the Reina Sofia Museum is right next door, the Thyssen and El Prado museum are about 2-3 blocks from the hotel.
The inside of the hotel is beautiful and very clean.
The staff is very friendly; I want to thank especially Alex, he was very nice to me.

The location is great. The value is great. Your really cant complain too much when it's about 30 euros a night in this location. Facility is a bit outdated, but it is cheaper and yet still a lot better and more comfortable than most hostels in Europe of that price range. It is clean for the most part and staff is friendly. We got a three people room for 30 a night.

It's an hostal, not an hotel. Said that, everithing was really good: WiFi decent, clean room (they clean it every day) and the staff is very helpful. Position is very good: really close to atocha, to the retiro gardens, the Prado, the modern art museum.. And close to city centre as well. In case in the district there are too different bars/pubs..

We had two rooms one of which was a very spacious double with a king size bed. The single room was larger than many others I have stayed in. Spacious and very pleasant public seating area. Very pleasant cafe/bar with good economically priced food.Perfect location and even though the rooms faced onto the main road, excellent double glazing ensured a peaceful nights sleep.

The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Atocha station with all the connection from the airport. It is located in the heart of tourist Madrid, a very loud city. But the hotel is on a quiet side street. The bed was very comfortable. Nice linens and towels. WiFi worked throughout the hotel. This is a very good hotel to stay both after a flight and before you leave.

Excellent location and great value for the money. If you're looking for something fancy, this isn't the place. However, if you want something comfortable at a great price, go for it. Another thing that I liked is that it was not corporate - it seemed to be a family-fun establishment. Lastly, free Wi-Fi that worked great the whole time.

Hostal Edreira was very clean. Our room was spacious but set up awkwardly. the bed was in front of the closet so you couldn't open the door easily. I stayed at this hostel for 2 nights and have to say I quite enjoyed my stay. The room was neat with AC and TV. The bathroom and toilet facilities were clean and tidy. The hostel was just next to the metro and was very convenient. Staff very friendly and helpful. Yes they do speak english. Good value for the price.

The location of this hostel was perfect for those wanting easy walking access to the three big art galleries in Madrid and the gorgeous city park. Good restaurants just across the street. We are 70 and had to walk up one flight of stairs only. The manager got our bags and was so helpful. Our own bathroom, very quiet and safe area. Not luxury, but very adequate and so inexpensive...we stayed two nights before our tour of Spain started and would stay here again for longer!
