  We liked the ambiance; the attention to details; the lovely and thoughtfully decorated (inside and out) mansion where the hotel resides, and the adorable pond in the quiet street nearby. The hotel is situated in a short walking distance from the city center, many restaurants and main tourist attractions; as well as to the central bus station and... cosa dice la gente » city port. about 10 min outbound; 15 min inbound since it is situated on a hillside. - The hotel's location is quite central, so provides easy access to Bergen's restaurants, shops, and museums. It's all within a 5-10 minute walk. The breakfast was excellent -- one of the best I've had in a long time. The midday check-out time is a nice addition. Too often nowadays the check-out time is 10am. Free biscuits and coffee/tea/hot chocolate from the vending machine in the lounge. The lounge/breakfast room were beautiful.

  Very contemporary hotel with luxurious lobby. Room was very large, and included a trouser press, coffee machine and small fridge. The bathroom had heated tiles. Bus and from Airport at the hotel door very reasonable rate roughly 12 dollars per person. Buses run every 15 minutes.

  Very friendly stall. We rented 3 rooms for our family. The front desk staff immediately upgraded my wife and my room to a deluxe unit. We had asked for quiet rooms so when we arrived around 2 pm, we were asked if we could wait 1-hour for the requested rooms. We were only 1- ni - The hotel exudes old-world charm: nice wood wainscotting, lovely wood floors, and Oriental rugs. A large first floor room stays open all day with complimentary coffee, tea, and fruit and a limited menu. Breakfast is fabulous. Whimsical light fixtures in the rooms add a nice touch. A close walk to the center of town. Across the street from the train station and several blocks from the bus station.
