The location is very central, all rooms overlook the canal, the owner is
super nice and helpful, both the room and the bathroom are spacious and
have everything you may need there (I.E. hair dyer, bath robes, basic
cosmetics, complimentary bottle of bubbly, mini bar). You can get
anywhere by foot in less than 30 mins. Breakfast is massive and includes
freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs of choice, salmon, cheeses, fruit,
croissants etc. Maps and tourist guides are also available.

I am kinda frequent traveller, but i can truly say that Miss Ortelia is the sweetest place i've ever been to! Gijs was an excellent host. He helped us before arrival and during the stay. We loved the character of the house (we stayed in the loft room). It was very close to everything in Amsterdam. Rather than feeling like a tourist staying in a hotel, we felt like we are staying in our own house. Perfect value for money! Amazing breakfast.

This is a wonderfully warm place to stay in Amsterdam. Apart from being close to Amsterdam Centraal and many important attractions, the hosts of this B & B are very warm and generous in their welcome. The room was comfortable and the breakfast provided was of a high standard, substantial and constantly varied over the course of our 3 day. You are given keys to the front door as well as your bedroom, so you always have the freedom to come and go as you please.

It was a quiet relaxing place, but like most places in Holland, not far from places we wanted to visit. Convenient. The breakfast was very good and the beds comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful. -

The Old Lady is a restored terrace on the canal in Amsterdam. We rented the apartment which is spacious, comfortable and clean. The building is very well located only minutes from the railway station and right on one of the canals. Most of the city's attractions, shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. The hosts are very cooperative and an excellent breakfast was provided.

Five Star Delight
We have just returned from the best stay we have ever had in Haarlem. When you make a hotel booking you read the reviews, the pros and cons, and then make your choice. We choose “Bed and Breakfast L'Anders”. This is a small 4 bedroom place with the rooms above the restaurant facing onto the beautiful square.

We had the most pleasant experience and never wanted to leave but had
already made arrangements to move on. The room was spacious and very
comfortable. We were given the room that overlooked the center and It
was discussed that if we were to return we would stay for an extended
time. You can take the public transportation to the surrounding cities
if you wish to. What a wonderful experience we had. We would like to
thank all the people there that welcomed us and treated us like family.

The staff was excellent. This is a small run operation but they were helpful and made us feel very welcome. Room is quite simple with a funny little shower off the kitchen (and the toilet behind that!) but it was clean, comfortable, quiet, and in a great location. Great for a couple looking for a quiet location to relax and be out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Amsterdam. This was a great area to stay to check out the trendy Jordaan, nine streets, and night club district.
