The hotel is very well located and has good services like gym, pool and restaurants.
The wifi was poor or almost none at the lobby. No wifi in the room.
It was a good hotel located near the train station. Although is not close to the Medina, it's not far away (15 min walking) and taxis are not expensive. I payed for the room I had (a very good one) the same amount I payed before for a poor room in a Ryad in la Medina.
The only problem was the internet connection.
Very good staff ,nice swiming ,breakfast and boufet very good
Gym closed at sunday,no Wifi
Very pleasant hotel, with impressive atrium seating area, decent pool and clay tennis courts. Essentially it's a sort of French version of a Thompsons hotel. Good breakfast, large room and ideally placed for exploring Marrakech (see guide below). Would certainly recommend Les Idrissides. As a general location for staying in Marrakech the Hivernage area seems to fit the bill nicely. There are a selection of varying hotel standards to fit your choice but, more importantly, it is centrally connected for several key point, starting with the airport and working clockwise - Menara gardens; Supr@tours bus station; Marrakech train station; Gueliz; Place Du 16th November; Majorelle gardens; various city gates; the Medina; Ben Youssef Medersa; Djeema El Fna and the Koutoubia Tower. The Hivernage feels pleasantly safe to walk around, whilst still getting a feel for the real Marrakech and provides a variety of cost effective restaurants. A brief synopsis of some of the sights are as follows - The Medina – Certainly an experience, although not always a good one. Beware being told ‘it is closed that way’ or something similar, which is used to channel you towards awaiting shop keepers. If staying in the Medina I’d suggest being on the western side if possible, so you can easily dip out of the chaos more easily. Ben Youssef Medersa is fairly limited in what it has to offer, yet well worth a visit, whereas the Marrakech Museum is less rewarding of your time. The train station has a simple charm, with a large glass frontage, mixed with elegant Arabian styling – particularly attractive when lit up at night. It also serves as a bolt hole for when a toilet is needed, plus a McD’s if quick, reliable food is needed. There are also a couple of rooftop restaurants as a dining alternative. Gardens – the Menara gardens are quite basic, little more than olive trees in a sort of scrub land, with two saving graces.
Not much to fault.
Everything. Excellent.
Canteen staff excellent service and enthusiasm!Beautiful swimming pool outdoor, indoor and a gym for free(love it!). Breakfast coffee delicious and the decor of the hotel:specious ,clean, traditional very nice!
The gym & swimming pool closed at 7pm(to early).Twice we wished to used it but later in evening as we stay up longer. Flying birds on top in canteen while eating(no higenic at all). Water was cold in a sink. With the deal from letsbookhotel.com I supposed to pay less then I eventually did(not nice suprise)
I really recommend this hotel . Very friendly staff and they have good tours too
Almost every thing
Close to trainstation you find Macdonalds and KFC there. Very good and big breakfast
Not close to Medina
Very friendly and careful staff
Pblm avec cartes clé et serrure chaque jour
good food, nice swimming pool, easy to get into Marrakech centre When we arrived we were in an incredibly noisy room right overlooking the bar, but they quickly moved us to top floor and away from the worst of the noise We were literally the only English people there - everyone else was French - we considered this a bonus!
Noisy in the evenings as music and entertainment every evening until 11pm constant pop music around the pool - some might like this but we would prefer quiet! some building noise from new hotel going up next door
staff tried to put us in a room that was small and near the road. we had booked a garden room. with paper work and in writing we got what we paid for. the room was a good size and very clean.
The hotel was fine a good breakfast with good staff. We were only over night before our flight home. Air con. did not work. A pleasent hoter in good location 30Md for taxi to the square. 150 md to the airport.
located in good clean road away from the center , the receptionist was very helpful.
one of the restaurant waiters was annoying us and was interested in submitting the bill and get paid before we had even finished our meal
Room Cleaness Comfort Location
Staff
I had a great experience in this hotel. The breakfast is rich, location is good, and the room is nice.
Hotel Activities arranged by FRAM
It's a hot spot for French tourists so all activities was focusing on them using French Language. Internet was disconnecting frequently.
The hotel is very good. I liked it. I have stayed there for 4 nights and I have nothing to complain about. the staff were helpful especially Aissa who welcomed us and answered all our questions.
It is a calm hotel. a lot of old people there, and no interesting parties.
The family room are spacious and keep clean. The children loved how the leaner display the towel on the bed. The hotel location is perfect not that far from Jama Efna and a lot of restaurant and cafe opposite the hotel.
Everitings is perfect I can't say nothing
The family rooms are fantastic. You could lose yourself in the suite. The rooms were really spaceous, great faccilities, hotel really gets everyone involved with alot of events taking place, pools were great, easy to exchange money. The maids cleaning the room used the towels to create patterns etc on the beds which the kids really loved. They also always left sweets and rose petals on the beds every nice was was great. Breakfast was a fantastic selection, not far from the centre, all taxis know the hotel which is good as you will also be able to get a taxi back to the hotel.
The first family room was a little run down. When we went back to reception and complained, they were quick at changing the room and the new room was totally amazing. They speak limited English. People staying in the hotel reserve the sunbeds around the outdoor pool, even if they dont use them until later in the day which can be annoying. Although there is an indor pool, to use this costs extra so something to bear in mind.
The sliding bathroom door could not shut tight. Can see through from outside. It's quite a distance to walk to the medina.
Service members of the restaurant - especially breakfast always smiling and working very hard .
There is a big problem in the number of reception staff it's very little to enumerate hotel guests - which always poses a problem for guests.
Room and bathroom were clean. Its a good place to spend the night provided you are flying out next day!
Poor Staff, first time gives me room keys to an occupied room (who does that these days?), second time the room keys don't work, no internet in the room, Air Con didn't work however it wasn't too hot so didn't make fuss about it. Food better eat somewhere else.
The room was nice.
Not one staff member welcomed us when we arrived. No one spoke a word of english, we were spoken to in very rude manor by the staff around the pool when trying to order drinks. Id advice any english couple to avoid that hotel due to dreadful staff
City centre location was great. Modern hotel with local flavour. Comfortable beds plus numerous facilities and restaurants.
Poor informed Front Desk staff and not too clean.
Friendly atmosphere. Free WiFi in common areas. Pool entertainment for the kids.
Lack of standardized service e.g. the cleaning of rooms vary according to the employee, the breakfast service,..
the location
everything else especially the quality of the food; staff and internet connection. very low value for money. maybe good for all inclusive and organized tours.
nothing except the location
poor service with rudeness and arrogance. no soap. virtually no english speaking staff.
The location.
The room was "tired" - and the staff were not as welcoming as they might have been.
The room was nice, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was okey and various. The hotel was located in the new city-centre of marrakech and it was close enough to the medina.
The staff couldn't speak english at all (and they were quite proud about it). In the first room we had, the air-conditioner didn't work and we also had a smelly water loss on the ceiling so we had to change it with another one. We once asked a waiter to change us some coins into banknotes but he returned with less money than we have given him before..
Location is close to the conference center
Water leakage everywhere in the room and air condition is not sufficient. Got to change rooms a few times! Very disappointing!
It served a purpose; we booked because it was close to the train station which we needed to travel from early the next day. The room was huge (slept 5 and we were a 2) and the staff were helpful, despite the language barrier!
The hotel has seen better days. Whilst the room was spacious it was fairly basic & shabby; for this reason I wouldn't recommend it for a long stay/if you're planning on lounging around it during the day - there are far more authentic/luxurious and central residences in Marrakech for the same money.
-No one spoke English, making talking to the staff very difficult when trying to communicate things such as having no towels, clean linen, pillows. -There was a problem with room as we had booked a triple room, we expected 3 single beds, but only recieved 2. -The staff lied to us, as they said they would charge as for 2 but they didnt. -The staff ruined the experience and should learn to speak to people.
only the location
rude staff bathroom need maintainance very bad breakfast expensive and doesnt worth ..there are a lot of better and cheaper hotels
Nothing
I wouldn't rate the hotel as 4 star it's not even 1 stars its too old service is really bad the rooms are sloppy dirty
Dirty really dirty,i've never seen a dirty hotel like this one.i don't know how this can be a four star hotel.and the receptionist added money to the bill.a real robber
