  After a well-organised transfer from the airport we arrived at this lovely riad with very welcoming and friendly staff. Location was ideal for the souks and main square (only 1-2 minutes' walk) but in a very quiet area. Al - I stayed at Riad Balkisse on my first visit to Marrakesh I have to say that what made my stay so great is the staff. Fouad is a genuinely caring person. . We arranged to have dinner in the Riad the night we arrived it was delicious. The roof terrace is a fabulous place for the tasty breakfast or a quiet drink in the evenings. Riad Balkisse is well located and is only a 3 minute walk from the Souks and a 2 minutes walk to the main square. Many thanks for an unforgettable stay to all the smiling

  This riad is a little gem. It has only been open for 2.5 years and everything inside is brand new and of amazing taste. Laurence is a wonderful hostess. She does it with the heart and as a guest, you will feel incredibly looked after. She works so hard in the riad, taking care of every little detail. The riad also has a great terrace and a brand new glass roof which makes it probably the only riad in Marrakech to have - Beautiful riad in the heart of the city. Well positioned to access all the main sites. We stayed in Moulay which was perfectly designed in a moroccon style with a big bathroom. The breakfast was amazing and served up on the roof top terrace. I would strongly recommend ordering dinner at the hotel - you have to order in the morning and it isn't cheap but it is delicious. very romantic too as more often than not you'll be the only couple in the dining area. Th - I liked the friendly and helpful staff, the breakfast was wonderful and enough (yogurt, orange juice, pancakes, coffee or tea, eggs and crepes), the bathroom and shower were spacious and had nice towels and bath ropes which was a very nice touch. The room felt cozy. And even though we could not lock it, I was ok with it. The roof top was ok, nothing particular. In general I liked our stay at the Riad, it had an authentic feel to it and as I said, the staff made one feel at home.
