This was our 2nd stay at Hotel Baia and this was during their big holiday on August 15th. We love this place, the view of the ocean was spectacular and the personnel were friendly to us, especially the older lady who is there in the morning. Beautiful location... the hotel seemed to be four rooms on the third floor of an apartment building, which was a little confusing, but once we were inside it was perfect for us. The staff was very friendly and helped us with printing out boarding passes and anything else we needed. They were so NICE!! The view was AMAZING... perfect spot in Monterosso to home base for fantastic exploring.

The location of the hotel was perfect, in the old town of Monterosso blocks from the sea and within steps of good restaurants and shopping. The management amazingly met us in the middle of the night (1:00 when our train arrived) to walk us to our apartment--so grateful! Nicely decorated, comfortable, and spacious. Very nice host (Claudia), the room is large, nicely equipped and clean - but the biggest advantage is the great location directly in the old town of Monterosso. Nights are quiet and beds absolutely okay.
Our room (the purple room) was located on ground floor with a direct own entry door from the small street (no cars!). Great!

A very charming hotel centrally situated in Monterosso al Mare. Very nice and helpful staff. The room was always clean with new towels every day. The bathroom was big and really good. Breakfast buffet was delicious and tasting with a very friendly staff. Hotel 5 Terre is very close to the beautiful beach of Monterosso, the railway station that connects to all the other Cinque Terre villages and to the Old Town. Also a nice area around the hotel.

The other reviews are correct in that there are a lot of steps up from
town, however, that would sum up all of Cinque Terre so if steps are not
your thing this is not the place to visit! The owners offer a shuttle
service to and from town for convenience if you are that tired, and they
