  What an amazing stay we had at the Castle Mews. We didn't actually meet the amazing Dolores until the morning at breakfast (she had to pick up her 'scallywag son' - her delightful words), but she left helpful voice mails & notes at the house and my friend & I were able to get settled in & ready with no problem. After a LATE night out at the castle feast & Durty Nellies we stumbled in for our (thankfully) late breaky and had the be - The owner of the Mews is such a sweet heart. So very welcoming! The mews is a real interesting place and the breakfast is to your heart content! The mews is literally 10 mins walk from the castle. No car needed. If you attend a late banquet, don't forget to pack a torch with you for your way back!

  Sheila and Frank are delightful inkeepers. We had booked our reservation on-line 5 minutes before we showed up at their door and we were greeted as if we were friends they'd been expecting for months.   The hostess was so friendly! She made tea for us when we got there in the afternoon. Then, she drove us to Bunratty castle (so we could just take a cab back if we drank that night).   Our first, but not last, trip to Ireland began with a warm welcome from Mel and Denis in Bunratty, just minutes from the Shannon Airport. Mel was most accommodating and gracious. Her home is immaculate and her breakfasts delicious. She goes out of her way to assist you, making reservations for dinner or off - This b&b is closer to the Shannon airport than most carparks are in major cities. The location couldn't be better! Mel is the perfect hostess, when I arrived she cranked the electric blanket on the bed (which was SO comfortable!), pulled the blinds and allowed me to sleep the entire afternoon of my arrival so I could avoid jetlag. It is within walking Distance of Bunratty - My sister and I stayed one night. We loved the place- it was beautiful, convenient to nearby attractions, luxurious while being very economical, tastefully appointed with beautiful antiques, blended with modern conveniences, and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, lodging was very comfortable. It couldn't have been a better place- we felt so lucky to have found it!
