  The food is sensational. Chef Victor Varga is seriously good. The monastery is a quiet retreat with comfortable monk cells that have been converted with mondern furniture and bathrooms. There is high speed internet in common areas and many interesting loft and library areas. There is a television room. The monastery is a 5 minute taxu trip outside... cosa dice la gente » of Sopron well worth visiting for some relaxation. This is so much more interesting than the ordinary run of the mill hotel. This was my second visit - A perfect place for a relaxing weekend in an enchanting atmosphere! Everything is top-level: service, cleanliness, food and room design. I strongly recommend having a dinner at the monastery, the experience won't be full without it.

  Why stay at the Austrian side when you a few km away can have a wonderful panzio and save a lot of money? Great setting in a historic town. Great starting point for wine trips to Deutschkreutz or Rust am See. They have good restaurant (not haut cousine though) and you can have a wine tasting in the garden area. Nice and helpful staff. The breakfast (included with the room) was incredible - a delicious and fresh "made to order" full service meal with lots of choices. The secure parking for our car was terrific. And "beer garden" area was very pleasant (we had just drinks and didn't have a chance to try the restaurant).
