  I highly recommend this hotel for any kind of stay in Athens. The staff is very friendly. The value for money is splendid. The location is quite reasonable: the hotel is in a safe neighborhood, and the metro station is nearby (about ten minutes walk). Close to the Megaro Metro station and us Embassy for landmarks and easy travel to and from the airport. Only five Euro taxi to the Acropolis area. Good burger and rib joint right on the other side of the street when you want something easy and simple.

  The Achillion is a good mid-range hotel in a slightly seedy part of Athens. It is fortunately not far from the Omonia and Metaxourghio metros, and an easy walk to the National Archaeological Musum. The double-glazing is effective in shutting out street noise. Service was exceptional, a lightbulb being changed within minutes of my mentioning it.
