  It suited our needs as a family of 4 travelling with a dog. Modern, clean 2 bedroom house. The children were able to use the pool / tennis in a safe environment. A 10 minute walk into the lovely town with good restaurants, café and castle etc. Paths immediately next to the complex for dog walking.   Set in its own grounds, very peaceful, excellent parking. Our room was excellent, large and spacious with good facilities. The food was excellent, although the menu was limited and didn't change for the three nights we were there. Tours is a very upmarket and cosmopolitan area with lots of historical sites. However the clerk called over and they still gave us a table and prepared a delicious meal. The breakfast was basically a continental breakfast, but it was plenty to get the day started.   Wow!! The property is next to the river Loire and easy to find. On arrival we were met by the lovely friendly couple who own the Chambres dHotes working on their part of the caves. The place is stunning. Our room was at the back of the caves with a 4 poster bed and spa shower. When we turned the lights off to go to sleep it was black and silent. The breakfast was good and when the owners came back from an evening out they gave - Spending the night in a cave that feel modern and has a swimming pool is great! The owner is very welcoming. You feel like you are staying at a friend's home. The yard is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. You can bring a picnic with you. We were able to use the refrigerator. There is a large TV and leather sofa in the common area. The rooms are cozy and well decorated. The shower is nice also. The breakfast was good. Convienient location for seeing Amboise and nearby chateaux.

The hosts are very friendly and willing to help with anything you need, from using their canoe to finding great places to eat and visit. I would recommend this place to my friends. - Beautiful building, very warm and friendly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Delicious homemade breakfast and jams. Owners keen to help with evening meal booking and directions. Also very keen to show old mill and explain how it worked.
