This was our second and more thorough visit to cognac. It is a beautifultown and we had several good meals in town with taxi back to the hotel.The hotel was very comfortable with excellent and helpful staff. Thebreakfast was very enjoyable and of good quality. The couple that wewere travelling with would also agree. - Pool, Friendly staff, Price

We liked the friendliness of staff. It was only 1km walk from hotel to Cognac therefore enabling us to leave car at hotel. It was also near to large supermarket for cheap petrol etc.
All the staff did everything possible to make our stay comfortable.The manager or owner spoke excellent English. -

It takes a 10 minute walk to the center of town, whilst making you feel you are in the country. The grounds are really pretty, over the river with a lot of greenery. It feels very, very peaceful there.
Carpark is free and safe.
The Lodge room is quite spacious.

We really enjoyed staying at Quai des Pontis, and would stay again. -
Great location right by the river, just over the bridge from the Hennessey Distillery and a 10 minute walk from the old town of Cognac. There were several restaurants within walking distance and 2 boulangeries within 2 minutes to get fresh croissants in the morning. The chalets were lovely, all wood panelled and very clean and new.

The hotel was "funky". Furniture painted on the walls of the corridors, paintings directly painted onto the walls and the dining room is bright colours and welcoming. The couple who own it are friendly as are the girls in the restaurant. They made us feel at home from the minute we arrived. It is in the centre of the paved main street of the town

We were needing a stopover on the way from St Malo to Gascony and this was as good as it gets to locate, to relax and to be treated as important customers. Staff couldn't do more for us. Room was clean and comfortable. Wasn't the full English breakfast but not bad for the French version. -
