Fantastic location, a stone,s throw from the cathedral and the old town of Chartres. Very helpful map sent beforehand by the hotel with info for where to park to drop off luggage. Free car park pass from the hotel for the underground car park which was a five minute walk away. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Do not miss the light show at the cat

The location right next to the Cathedral is wonderful and this puts you in the best place for exploring Chartres.
The breakfast was fabulous.
The manageress/owner was lovely and really helpful.
The parking (included in the room rate) in a nearby public car park is easily arranged with the hotel.
The room Les Anges was beautiful - very romantic, with views to the front and rear of the hotel, a screened-off sitting area and a bathroom with jacuzzi bath.
We will definitely return.

Proximity to the cathedral was great. My husband and I could walk to it in less than 10 minutes. Although the breakfast was not included, it was worth the cost as it included fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, different breads, as well as scrambled and soft boiled eggs. We would recommend it to anyone who would be interested in visiting Chartres. -

I would strongly recommend this hotel to my friends for it's location, extremely friendly staff and comfort. It feels very chic but sits comfortably in the beautiful city of Chartres, literally by the cathedral

The word choices in # 3 were inadequate to describe Maison Ailleurs. The room we occupied was beautifully decorated, superbly comfortable and a pleasure to spend time in. Quality toiletries and attention to details throughout made our stay very enjoyable. Breakfast each morning brought to our room was delicious and a treat for the eyes. -

Hotel Marmotte is a budget hotel, but a very pleasant one. The room was tiny but for a quick overnight stay, it is all you need. We used their restraurant for breakfast. Charming owners made you feel at home in an extremely relaxed environment. The building was very old and beautiful on the outside but absolutely up to date and contemporary in the room itself which had a beautiful view of the cathedral and Chartres. I strongly recommend this accommodation.
