The view from the balcony. The breakfast layout was done well each morning and by the second day they got a clue to have butter and jam for the toast. The staff was helpful and friendly and spoke English no matter time of day or night we were there -

Excellent location accessed via water taxi, adds a bit of fun to getting to your room. Hotel was spotless and all staff super friendly. The restaurant was nice overlooking the bay. We were treated to all sorts of wildlife putting on a show from sea lions, turtles and manta rays whilst eating breakfast and dinner. Best place we've stayed.

We liked everything about this hotel - it was by far the best we stayed
in while in Ecuador. The hotel was extremely clean, the wi-fi worked
great in our rooms, the shower always had hot water (sometimes a problem

The front desk staff were amazing, as was the breakfast. Got a great
deal on bookings.com Now, this is not a luxury hotel and no where in
Puerto Aroya will you get the value for your dollar that you got on the
mainland, but this was perfect for us and I would go back in a minute.
The staff had great suggestions for dinners out, short hikes to sights
nearby, and arranged laundry for us after our Macchupicchu trek. The
room was great, if in need of a few small repairs to cracked tiles, etc.

The people were great. My room was enormous and had a hammock and balcony. It was very well kept. I loved my stay and will go back soon. This place is for the solo adventurer. It is close to everything but far enough from the touristy port. Cheap cab ride to and from hotel can't complain. -

The owner is very knowledgable and also his staffs were very friendly and helpful. We were family with a baby of 1 year and a half but there was no inconvenience and all of them helped us a lot. Even we could use their kitchen.
There were two tortoises in the Lodge's garden and it was fun just to take a walk there.

This is excellent place to stay. Large and clean room. A really family
environment. Nice owner. I had no dinner when I arrived later. Not
convenient to look for restaurant. Owner cooked two ergs and home-grown
tomato for me plus bread, all for free. That is very nice. Thank you
