Sure, the climb up - We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.

  Our room was delightful, having a beautiful decorated ceiling and stained glass windows. The room was large and the bathroom was separate. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the front of house staff spoke good English. WiFi was free but was inconsistent during our stay. The staff was very apologetic about this so this was unusual.   We had a warm welcoming by a man who was very informative and helpful. All the other staff members were mostly great also (a family is running the hotel). Our room was fantastic with a great view. The fitted carpet was a bit dirty but the overall impression of the room and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast was quite basic (coffee, tee, 2 different kind of juices, scrambled eggs, bread, cheese, ham, natur - Excelent location, 5 minutes from the castle. Great to come back from the city at the end of the day, chill out in the bar next door and then come back to the castle to enjoy the night. The way to the guesthouse (it's not a hotel) is a little steep (Nerudova st) so if you are coming from the metro station or even from the square nearby, hold your breath (beautiful little street though!)! Breakfast simple but nice.

The room was very spacious and the whole hotel was beautifully finished. Breakfast was very good. Location was perfect, being close enough to all the main sites but being quiet enough to get away from the crowds. Being a smaller hotel, it felt like very personal service and attention to detail. They also brought us a bottle of wine when they knew it was my husband's birthday which was a very lovely gesture.

  The location is perfect! It just locates on the mountain where has the castle and many green trees. The staff are nice and helpful, they helped us to find which tram we should take since the Charles Bridge was closed in the reason of flud:( But it's very close to the old town. just take 15-minute walk through another bridge. The bathroom is large and clean, and there is also a sep - We stayed at 10 mixed dorm but in fact it was two separate rooms for 5 ppl both. We had our separate bath and toilet for 10 ppl. Plus there were additional bath and toilet on the floor so we never had problems with having shower. In general there very much space and flowers in the corridors and a nice terrace on the top floor. It is in the very centry and each time you have nice chance to cross Charles bridge. and administration staff is great!!
