  What an experience! Reginne and Bernard's hospitality was amazing! From taking us on a private tour of Arraial d'Ajuda, to wonderful homecooked breakfasts, we felt like we were friends, not guests. You can tell they love the wonderful home they have created and love even more sharing it with their guests. Bernard and Regine were extremely friendly and helpful hosts while still allowing us the independence and privacy we wanted. The breakfast was excellent. The beaches(10mins walk) are beautiful and the bar and restaurant area of Arraial (20mins walk)was safe and had excellent live music.

  What an amazing place to stay for a holiday! The first pousada to be founded in Trancoso about 28 years ago by a couple whose grown children (Joanna and Ian) now virtually run the place. We had deluxe rooms at a very reasonable rate compared to the pousadas located directly on the beaches nearby. We were in walki - A family owned operation who run an exceptional Pousada. The attention to detail was incredible, especially the strategically placed vases of stunning tropical flowers placed in our room and all around the Pousada. Afternoon tea that was provided was a very special touch. Great value.

  The location is just perfect. It is right in the center of the old city center (upper city). A perfect location to explore Salvador. The area the hotel is in is newly renovated and is safe to walk around freely during days and nights. Staff speaks really good English and are extremely helpful. We went for a professional capoeira show in the evening just about 5 minutes from the hotel – supposingly one of the best in Brazil. - The hotel is charming. The staff are among the nicest, most helpful and accommodating I've found in all my travelling. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, the bed could have slept 4 people! The location of the hotel was great for tourists, shopping (although touristy shopping mostly) and taxis were abundant and within a 1 minute walk. Good restaurants were plentiful within walking distance as well.
