I'm brazilian and stayed for four days, went alone to buenos aires and was amazing. The hostel is close to other neighborhoods known like palermo retiro and recoleta. I recommend!

  We stayed in Hotelmo which is next store to the Mantengase hotel, they offered private rooms with private bathroom. Everything was fantastic from the location, service, the owners of the complex are very very accommodating. They even gave us a transport card to use d - The hostel is very well located, close to some important points of the city or with easy access to buses. We stayed in the double room, the decoration is nice, detailed chosen and with colors... The people that received us at the hotel treated us as their family, caring if we had everything... the breakfast was good too... the front house, where we were having the breakfast, has turtles, dogs and a funny parrot, what made the experience even better for us...   I liked everything about this hotel! I stayed here for about a week. I have been travelling for 6 months now and this is the best one I have found - comfortable, peaceful, decent sized rooms, great location (San Telmo - short walk to Plaza Dorrego, next to a metro stop).   The hostel is in Montserrat, a central area of BA. Not the best area of the city, but a central one (15-20 min walking from the Obelisco), generally safe and quite close to a SUBTE station.   I only planned to stay in Buenos Aires for a couple of days but this hostel was so comfortable and relaxed that I ended up staying four nights. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is a nice courtyard to relax in. Highly recommended. - Horrible place! AVOID!
