Ce que les gens disent
I had to step up the itinerary of my trip by two days. Although I
didn't get the same room class/price, the day manager worked
with me over the phone to get a room booked. When I arrived, the (same?)
manager noted that we had one small child, and changed the room to
accomodate, without changing the price. There is a sink in the room, as
well as a mini-fridge, for those who wish to stay more than overnight.
The hotel is right next to chinatown, within 5 mins walking distance
from many restaurant. tous commentaires »
Showers, bathrooms close to room,no street noise, wf in lobby, vending
machines, location, room cleaned every day, bed made, fresh
linen,Microwave,fridge,large closet,dresser,small night table. I have a
bad back so the bed with a not soft mattress was great. The hotel is
steps away from coffee shops, espresso parlors, City Lights books, Grant
Avenue that leads to Chinatown, walk along Grant catch the cable car,
end up at Union Square and all the big shops. I intend to stay here
again. Oh, almos.
This is an older hotel, very well maintained. The location is superb, right on the border of Chinatown and Little Italy. There are a wide
variety of restaurants nearby. Each room has a microwave and fridge
and the selection of cable channels is very good.Friendly, attentive management is a definite plus. Guests may use the internet in the lobby. There are many
bus routes nearby and it is also possible to walk to the center in 15 or 20 minutes. Strolling
around Chinatown and
Little Italy is alway.
This was the cleanest quietest hotel and so central to everything it honesty was..you could walk to everything that San Fran has to offer..china town few minutes away for cheap food and supermarket for food and beers 5 mins away...fridge , TV, and microwave is all you need and a lot do not offer this.I am going right around USA and ending back up in San Fran ready yo fly home..had another hotel booked but cancelled it and rebooked this one..that says a lot..bottom floor room 22 quiet and near e.
I really enjoyed the decoration inside the hotel. It was quant, old
fashion. There was an adorable phone booth outside our door, and the
prices were very reasonable. The maids always made sure to leave fresh
towels in our hotel room, and cleaned while we were away. The staff is
friendly and communicative. The views were wonderful and the hotel is
located about twenty minutes walking distance from all the major
shopping areas, and the area is well lit for walking at night.
This Hotel was like luxury after spending one night in the Europa hotel up the street. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The facilities were excellent. They provided top brand Toothpaste, Shampoo and Conditioner and breath Right patched in your room. This was great if you forgot to pack some basics. Location was superb, located in Downtown and only 10-15 min walk to most of San Fran's top attractions!.
really great location, walking distance to Chinatown, the Ferry Building, short bus ride to the Wharves. Great little coffee shops on Colombus for breakfast in the morning. Was just what I was looking for in a budget hotel. Room and bathrooms were very clean, was a little noisy at night with creaky floorboards but, nothing earplugs can't fix. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent for longer stays. People who left bad reviews clearly were expecting the Marriott or something similar, which this most definitely is not. A very old building that must have been renovated within the last few years, the staff keeps it clean and well-run. Not a business hotel, but the awesome location and price are really hard to beat for the budget traveler.
The room was very small, but clean and comfortable. There was a microwave and fridge in the room. Shared WC and shower were clean. Wi-fi worked great. The staff was friendly and helpful, check-in took just a few minutes and not half an hour as some of the reviewers wrote. Many good restaurants around, about 30 m. by foot to Pier 39.
I thought the bedding was nice... though the comforter needed laundered. The room was light and had a great big large old window that I loved. The place has a lot of character and charm. The TV was cool and so was the fridge, little desk, closet, pillows and sample cosmetics...very Mosser Co.
Location, price, cleanliness, efficiency of the staff. My room was
comfortable and I never had to wait for the facilities. I felt safe at
night. This hotel is very similar to one I just stayed at in London and
was only half the price. I will definitely stay here again when
visiting my son.
I liked the location; by Financial District, North Beach, and Embarcadero and Muni/Bart stops. The bathrooms were clean and plentiful on each floor. The room was clean (no bedbugs). Super-duper cheap, which allowed us to spend more on food + drink + and more.
I got very much for the money I paid. The location was perfect, all rooms have windows and the size is OK. I had a fridge and a micro wave oven. The shared bathrooms had a nice design, they were well maintained, and the staff did a good job cleaning them.
I love the Hotel North Beach. I am a former resident of San Francisco and was back for a visit. I remember the St. Paul Hotel and this is a sparkling and clean improvement. I will definitely stay there next year when I visit the city again. Thanks!!!.
Very friendly and helpful staff, clean room (no bedbugs or anything like
that), awesome location! I was nervous when I read some of the reviews
here, but people should stop being so picky, this was a really good
hotel for a very reasonable price.
The room though small was relatively well appointed. My room faced out onto the intersection which at night was nice to watch but made it otherwise difficult for me to sleep (I forgot my ear plugs). Comfortable bed and very clean/ spartan decor.
The best is the location near to Chinatown, little Italy, down town, financial center. You can go anywhere by bus from there.
Rooms is exactly that you need: just a good bed, refrigerator and microwave and mine had a very good view.
Exactly what I needed. Having the share bath down the hall was fine - you have a sink in your room for everything else. Great space in the double full bed rooms. Why pay tons more to have a bathroom in your room? Great location.
Nice little rooms. Cleaned everyday. Soaps and towels provided. Beds
made. Awesome location. You're not sleeping in barracks like all the
other hostels. Safe at night. 24 hr front desk service as well as a
security guard.
It's really basic but it had everything I needed. It's clean, has a good bed and is located perfectly near the lovely neighbourhood of North Beach. And a big plus for me was that it's really cheap and near all the sights.
Really well located, in Chinatown and next to Broadway Street. Take hotel for 7 days even u r planning to stay less, is much cheaper. It was the cheapest option at the moment i book a hotel in SF. I would recomend it.
It was fairly quiet and the staff never disturbed my stay. The bed
was firm and comfortable. Location is in middle of Chinatown but I
still felt safe walking down Kearney to get there after midnight on
both nights.
Early Check-In, clean and cozy rooms, parking available in many garages in vicinity, location is JUST GREAT, fridge and microwave ease for budget friendly eating in a quite expensive part of that wonderful town.
location great; room cozy and well planned out. Plenty of bathrooms, showers. Best value. I've been there afew times so I'll go again. I wish there were more places everywhere similar to this at good price.
it was very clean friendly and had security at nite there was nothing to not like. Also I am very fussy having lived in many different places in this city but I would gladly return here.
The staff were always helpful and effective. Especially David at reception. The showers and toilets were kept clean throughout the day. The single room was small but well furnished.
Location (Chinatown, North Beach). Adjacent to plenty of restaurants.
Numerous public transit lines in easy walking distance. Shared bathrooms
kept clean Everything worked in room.
I like the "dorm room" feeling, and having shared bathrooms & showers at the end of the hall. A sink in my room and some complimentary toiletries was an appreciated bonus!.
Staffs were soo kind and helpful. Not only cheap but also clean and
comfort :d the location also great ! It's near by Chinatown and
little Italy - I can bet my life to this.
The location is great. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The room and facilities were clean. If we come back to SFO, we will definitley stay at this hotel again.
Perfect location and cheap. Close to Chinatown and same distance to downtown and the beach. Both around 15 to 20 min by feed. Really enjoyed my time here.
Staff was very generous and helpful and the rooms where clean. Everything was a little small, but the hotel's at a great location for not too much money.
Excellent value for the money. Staff very friendly and professional. I had a single room, very clean. Shower facilities had to be shared but clean.
Location, price, historical significance, immerses a tourist into San Francisco better than the current tourist and cookie-cutter hotels/resorts.
staff did A fantastic job. made you feel welcomed at first sight, would like to be A frequent traveler at this hotel for many times A year.
Location was center of everything. Literally a step away from china town and a 15-20 min drive from Golden Gate Bridge and Golden Gate Park.
Location was great! Near Financial Dist. and North Beach Dist.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi was easy to use.
i liked the desk staff
i liked the location
i like the price
and i liked the cleanlinss and it was quiet without being stiff!.
The staff desk were always helpful, I thought it was a great budget stay and catered for solo elderly travellers well.
It is a reasonably prices European style hotel in downtown San Fran.
The bathrooms were cleaned and plentiful.
The locations near the hotel are awesome, near chinatown where you can eat excellent food and also italy food.
This hotel is really well located and is not expansive. You can have a
better price if you stay a whole week.
I liked the fact that the staff is very nice and accommodating. The room was very clean and looked nice.
Enjoyed my stay to the max. The hotel was well run, organised and clean. Would definitely say here again.
Nice staff, really helpful and curteous. Location was incredible, esp considering the low price.
Nice room, small but quiet. Comfortable. Atmosphere sth else than an impersonal hotel chain.
Great location in the heart of North Beach, and border of Chinatown. Close to Union Square.
Their staff is very kind and willing to help. I will recommend this hotel and stay again.
the staff were really friendly and welcoming, always helping and making me feel welcome.
It has a perfect location , clean room and excellent staff. I stayed there for one week.
If you're on the street side, there is considerable traffic noise
from kearny and columbus streets.
I could not find anything not to like!.
No jug!!!.. but microwave fixed that problem..nuthing else wrong at all.
We had a room that was right next to the street, and it was difficult to
fall asleep at night, but then again it is San Francisco. There were
shared bathrooms but they were always clean. I didn't enjoy that the
information for paying for the hotel was written in very small print on
their website because it led to some stressful situations involving
money and planning.
The WiFi was extremely slow (it was like been back on Dialup!). Mattress was very lumpy.
Bathrooms not ensuite. Not a big deal, but be aware. There is a sink and mirror in the room.
There was a weird smell in the WC. Maybe more WC per floor could be useful.
I didn't like having to leave my bike outside. And the carpet smelled not so good.
It would be nice to have a fan in the room. Some days in San Francisco
get a bit warm and the rooms don't necessarily need air conditioning
but could benefit from a small fan circulating the air.
Bad smell in the rooms, like a nursing home. Old, scratched furniture and fixtures.
Some of the other guests didnt know that they had to flush the toilet after having used it. And one serious problem. The matress in my room was not OK. So if you either have back/neck problems or if you are taller than 180 cms you should conside staying another place.
Kind of noisy now and then, but nothing that really bothered me. They
should replace the showercurtains but thats all I can think off.
I don't typically watch television when I go to a hotel, but in this instance I did and it didn't work. Aside from that, everything was pretty spot on.
Sometime people smoke in the restroom... And not always was clean like I would like to.
Windows could be updated, but that's really it.
Shared bathrooms were cleaned daily but still, they're public
restrooms. So bring shower sandals and make sure to use the toilet seat
covers they provide. Otherwise, good hot showers. Also, can get noisy
outside with cars and Chinese shopkeepers. I had earplugs and they
worked splendidly.
The WiFi was really bad at times. Sometimes there was no reception at all or really minimal.
Walls are really thin, sometimes i could hear anything from my close neighbors.. and distant ones. Day i arrived they gave me a room that was not prepared but they gave me another one at the moment. If you have a car, really difficult to find a parking there, ask first. Internet, as in any other US hotel, is too bad.
The tv remote was broken but it wasn't really a big deal since I
didn't need to watch tv anyway. Hot water and cold water were
reversed in the sink in room which took me a while to figure out.
Shared bathrooms were not clean at times (but i guess that also depends very much on the guests, they can hardly clean every hour and on the other hand there are lots of shared bathrooms on every floor).
There's only 1 PC for all guests.
Somewhat oft-putting person at check in. Rest of staff extremely
pleasant. No towel rack or hook in room. A pot boil water would be nice.
Had to hunt for an electrical outlet.
The air in the room was stuffy. I opened my window to let some of the hot SF air in, but there was a loud & squeaky fan unit in the area outside my window. So it was a rough night of sleep.
Wireless Internet was slow. Room was small.
Nothing.
Rooms are small but they are comfortable and great for the price.
they need identifying uniforms
and it wud be perfect fo the price!.
The room cleaning was not always there, most of the time I had to ask for it.
You must be ok with shared bathrooms.
The showers are not always really clean, but there are a few on each
floor so you can always find another one cleaner.
The rooms get hot during the day and there is no AC.
No coffee machine.
Upstairs toliets had trouble flushing, low water pressure.
Shared shower could have been cleaned more often. If you want your room to be cleaned you need to fill in a note at the reception.
I do not have any complains.
