Ce que les gens disent
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room, while rather small, was
clean and neat. The bathroom, while very small (I've had larger
bathrooms on cruise ships), was also clean, neat and stocked with
sufficient towels and basic amenities. Fortunately, the bed was very
comfortable. The included breakfast was very good and served in their
small restaurant. The staff there was very friendly and cheerful.
The room was not air-conditioned, but the ceiling fan was sufficent to keep the room pleasant . tous commentaires »
First time in a 'Boutique Hotel' setting, was amazing, very charming, friendly, convenient to everything, trolley directly outside hotel....restaurants, cafes, shopping, all within walking distance, or hop on trolley. Was very quiet, slept wonderfully. Decor quaint & beautiful. Bed comfy, water pressure great. Bkft included was good & filling. Cannot say enough great things about this adorable hotel. We will definately be back!.
The Cornell Hotel de France is an older hotel. The decor is very french
countryside. The room we had was quite small but clean and comfortable.
We were in the back so it was very quiet. Breakfast was very good.
There's someone that cooks for you. The breakfast room in beautiful.
Very old french and medieval looking. Locatio is close to Union Square
and all the shopping. It's also on the cable car route. I would stay
there again.
My first stay at this hotel, staying 3 nights. The staff was excellent - friendly, helpful, fast.
Hotel room was charming. Cornell Hotel de France reminded me very much of hotels I have stayed at in Paris right down to the room decor, cage elevator and claw foot bathtub. Cute restaurant with excellent breakfast and fast, friendly service. Adorable dog greeting guests.
We liked the themed decor, the staff were extremely helpful and the food was delicious. The location of the hotel was quite central and there were lots of ways to travel around the city and the information centre was only a 5 minute walk away. The bed was very comfy and the walls were thick so it was lovely and quiet.
Welcome feel. Owned and run by French family. The Joan of Arc themed breakfast room is truly one-of-a-kind. Claw-foot tub in bathroom. A great place to stay if you want to save a few dollars, be close to Union Square, and, but especially if you prefer unique & personal lodging to large hoteliers.
Lovely boutique hotel in a great location, our room was on the 5th floor overlooking the junction of Bush & Powell , so we could see the trams pass. Nice sized comfortable bed, the staff were very helpful and friendly.
This hotel is a dream. We were in Paris 2 weeks ago, and the Cornell was
far more elegant than anything we saw there! The Restaurant is truly a
gourmet experience. We will stay here every time we come to San
Francisco!.
Location, price, reasonable parking location and cost for San Francisco,
staff, cleanliness, quaint and cozy...even quirky at times, great free
breakfast (don't forget to tip wait-staff). Loved the office dogs!!!.
The food was undoubtedly wonderful and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great. The location was excellent. The rooms were outdated, but comfortable. The free WIFI was an asset. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
Well maintained small hotel with good breakfast amenities(2 choices:eggs
with hash fries or French toast); room resembles French Provence style.
Stayed on the 6 th floor and the old elevator worked well.
Loved this quirky hotel, staff were excellent, helpful and polite, position is perfect for shopping at Union Square, access to cable car Powell Street route, HOHO buses, would definitely stay here again.
Good location close to Union Square
Good breakfast but limited in quantities.
No parking facilities as in each hotel in San Francisco but we could park the car next to the hotel for a reasonable price.
The Hotel was convenient and quieter than I expected. The management gave us a back room that was away from Bush street traffic noise. The complimentary American breakfast added value to the stay.
Friendly staff, great location, city map and introduction to San Francisco. We could check-in before check-in time. Reduced prices @ parking lot across the street. Nice decor.
The food was FABULOUS. Dinner is truly gourmet. Both breakfast (included), and dinner were served in a lovely dining room, which looked just like a small inn in France.
We have stayed at the Cornell hotel many, many times over the years and have always enjoyed the lovely rooms decorated with taste and the most convenient location.
We would come back to the Cornell - good price, great location, great in-room wifi, lovely complimentary breakfast in the basement restaurant. Highly recommended.
Very nice hotel near union square, staff very friendly & helpful.
Parking just across the street and cheap for sf downtown. Would def stay
here again.
Staff very friendly and always at your service. From breakfast to dinner the restaurant in the basement is a winner!
Very happy we stayed there.
Loved the charm of this hotel - so well located, staff helpful - bed
super comfortable - no complaints, would happily stay there again.
Great location, very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent large breakfast. Very impressive individually designed hotel.
Great location, very good value with a cooked breakfast included in the room rate. Would definitely stay here again.
Loved this beautiful building. A little bit of France in the middle of San Francisco. Great breakfast and service.
It's location, close to many restaurants and easy access to all main tourist spots. Good choice of transport nearby.
Staff was very friendly, rooms very clean, great location. Good value and breakfast was excellent .
Very convenient for all attractions in San Fransisco. Clean and comfortable. Very charming decor.
The almost kitsch design, flowers painted on wall, Jeanne de Arc statue....all very cute and fun.
Very good location. Parking across the road with fair price for hotel guests.
Quaint deco .French themes. Staff service.Location.Breakfast.Large bathroom.
Excellent location, good breakfast, value of money. Very good choice.
Ambiance, restaurant, convenient parking, location, and value.
I enjoyed breakfast under European atmosphere.
Loved the breakfast, decor and location!.
Great location,quiet,clean French flair.
Location and ambience.
Location location location. Ideal for short stay in San Francisco.
Quant friendly hotel in great downtown location.
Ambience of hotel with all the French Decor.
The decor is very special: French theme throughout, Joan of Arc based.
Mix between medieval atmosphere and early 20th century French Painters.
The main light fixture hd a burned out bulb and one of the lights in the
bathroom did not work - don't know if it was a burned out or missing
bulb, or if it just didn't work. Seemed like an unusual miss for an
otherwise nice property.
N/A.
No air conditioning. Wasn't a problem the week I stayed but might be if you happen to land in the city one of those two or three weeks out of the year it is needed.
The hotel didn't appear to have any AC, so I might hesitate to stay there mid-summer.
Nothing.
No dedicated bell staff, so you should count on moving your own luggage
in and out of the hotel. No air conditioning, floor fans are available.
Bathroom with old style deep bathtub which would benefit from railings
to prevent slipping for elderly or handicapped people;bathroom ceiling
could benefit from new paint coating. Walking from Sutter street to
Busch street where the hotel is located is up steep hill which could be
a problem for some, especially if you're carrying heavy luggage.
The heating in the room was an outdated water heated that woke us up when it turned on because it sounded like a boiling tea kettle,.
Room a bit small and a tiny bit outdated. Therefor a bit pricy.
No air-condition, was no a problem in september, but could be in hot
days.
Our Bed was a bit uncomfortable.
Small room.
Rooms a little cramped and no refrigerator.
Very very small room.
Smallish room. No fridge.
No frigobar, no A/C (unnecessary on this season).
Noise.
Breakfast 0900 finish too early and lack of fruit.
Knowledge of the city by staff very poor. When asked questions about
certain restaurants in the neighborhood, staff had no idea of such a
simple question. Breakfast was very limited, all you could get were
French toast or eggs.If you wanted something simple as yogurt, it
was denied.
For a french hotel food was disappointing.
The room was very small and bathroom smaller. Extremely uncomfortable.
Cleanliness is not their forte: some very dusty spots in the room. Clean
looking sheets and towels though.
