This is the real Hawaii! Our children visited on the lanai and cracked fresh macadamia nuts. In the morning we drank rich Kona coffee, from the local landscape and delighted in sharing adventures and insiders knowledge over a perfect breakfast. Easy location to beaches, restaraunts, and sunny Kona weather. Kurt's family home surpasses any destination hotel or resort. We longed for it after moving on to other parts of the island. 5 stars.,

The room quality ranges from 1 star to 5 stars, each with increasing price. It would be helpful if this were advertised on letsbookhotel.com. Luckily the hotel had a better room available than the one star unit we first saw.

Absolutely beautiful house - never seen anything like that for rent - it's been designed, built and decorated for a personal use, with great taste and stylish details. It was perfect~didn't want to leave! Loved the peaceful area and forest that makes you feel like you are miles away from your neighbors, the house was beautifully designed and cozy, enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub and full kitchen. Manager was wonderful to work with too-very welcoming and accommodating. We can't wait to return!

Eric, the owner, is an extremely friendly and sympathetic guy. Normally he rents out the complete house as a retreat center to groups. When there is no group booking, then he rents out the 6 apartments(each like 80 qm size) in the house to tourists. Living there is more like being at home then being in a hotel. Everything! Eric, the owner,gave us a tour so we would know where things were. We had a 2 bedroom suite with lanai and bathroom for $90. Unheard of value. Laundry was down the hall and free with detergent and softener provided. There is a well stocked kitchen for use by all guests. Very quiet and pleasant place.
