The locations is superb as it is a 3 minute walk to university avenue where there are superb coffee shops and restaurants and some basic shopping. The staff is friendly. The area around the hotel is set up in a very wonderful way with the gardens and theme decor. When I first booked I thought it was 107.00 per night and I thought this was the rate. When I saw I paid 197.00 I was stunned. I would never have booked at 197.00 Although nice grounds. The room and service was not worth 197.00 a night. The restraunt was

Beautiful suite. Loved the sound of the moving water just outside our
window in the koi pond. Fire place was lovely. Shower was great. Perfect
place to stay with an infant since the main bedroom and the sitting area
could be seperated by closing the curtains. We used the pool quite a bit
and ate at the poolside restaurant often. The hotel has a real resort
feel in some ways.

Contrary to many critics I found the hotel very quiet and clean. The staff were so helpful, and they treated all of the guests so well. The hotel resides at a central location in the city, and it is easy to walk from the hotel to Stanford University. -

This hotel is beautiful & very well run...there wasn't anything they couldn't do for you. You are right out the door to University Ave. for shopping, dining etc. -

The place was very clean, quiet and well run. The owner was very courteous and assisted us with any questions we had about the area. There were many eating places close by with delicious food that weren't overpriced. It was an excellent spot to visit nearby Stanford, stay for a business trip or to visit other sites of interest in Palo Alto. -

We were very impressed at the cleanliness, inside and out and that also includes the check-in lobby and stairwell. The in-room coffee tasted pretty good also.

I loved the front desk person who was so welcoming and friendly. I loved the comfort of the bed, the location close to Stanford and the lovely painting and murals. The pool had shaded area and tables to play cards with the family. So close to everything, including San Francisco! -

The location just off University Ave. in downtown Palo Alto, close to Stanford and CalTrain is extremely convenient. The staff is helpful. Basically this is good value for money. There is a municipal parking lot next door, although this can be full during the day. -
