First of all, the location is perfect! We were able to park at the
French Market a block away for $20/day. The owner was super friendly
and helpful, and you could really tell he wanted us to enjoy our stay.
Our room was just right, we had everything we needed including lots of

The property is an eclectic mix of old and new but with modern kitchens & comfortable furnishings. The staff were wonderful & gave great suggestions for dinner.
The location is fantastic (in the "no bus zone" of the Quarter, so it's much less noisy than the other end). Also just steps from all types of shopping and dining.
I will definitely stay here again!

The hotel has a lot of character, the staff is marvelous, and the location is to die for. I would absolutely stay there again if the price is not too high and if I could get the same room with a view on the Mississipi and not too much noise ... I understand that the hotel is haunted but I did not see or hear any ghost in my room ... -

... ce que les gens disent » cellent experience here, the room was clean and beds were comfy. Bathroom was good sized, balcony overlooking Decatur street was a nice touch. Only noise was from people on the street, couldn't hear any other guests. I would definitely go back.

My fiancé and I stayed here for two nights. The location is brilliant and the receptionist that greeted us (forget her name but lots of tattoos) was lovely, very helpful and kind. Walking distance to Bourbon street but far enough away to not hear noise. Close to the French Market. Room was nice, great king sized bed. Courtyard was perfect for my husband to hang out and use his ipad and be able to smoke. We will definitely stay here again! Great location!!

Located in the heart of French Quarter, 5 minutes walk from Bourbon Street, 10 minutes Jackson Square or Canal Street. Room where i stayed was small, just big enough for a queen bed, bathroom was actually bigger - but very comfortable and perfectly adequate for solo traveller.
I was a little concerned about walking back late at night after reading several reviews - but really nothing to worry about. Would definitely recommend - excellent value for money. -
A nice old building with typical for nola iron balcony (there are tables
and chairs there, so you can sit, have a cup of coffee and admire the
view of the old French Quarters). The rooms are renovated with clean and
modern bathrooms and a very comfortable bed. The people in hotel very
friendly and helpful. The was no safe in the room but there is a safety
deposit box at the front desk and its free! Location is great - just two
blocks from Bourbon Street.

Nearly everything!! Superb location which leaves some space between the hotel and the most attraction/most crowded tourist area. Ambience is outstanding.

Also, they have such a nice internal garden where they put on very nice music (and peaceful and not loud or disturbing at all).
Last but not least, the staff are all great. -
The Soniat House was exactly what I was looking for. It was our first time in New Orleans and I wanted to stay deep in French quarter and experience the Old World Charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful experience and would stay there again. Plus the hot biscuits and jam were amazing.

Location could not have been better. Quiet safe street, just a few blocks from everything there is to see in FQ New Orleans. Character of the building made you "feel" like you were in NOLA. My husband and I have been to New Orleans many times and have stayed everywhere throughout the city. This was probably our favorite place for location, budget, cleanliness and privacy. It felt like we had our own apartment and you really get the full Quarter experience being in the heart of the neighborhood. Easy walk to everything!
