  The room and the sheets actually looked and smelled clean. It was a non- smoking room and their was no after smell. It was quiet, there was a refrigerator, microwave, work desk, and separate desk to eat on. The bathroom and towels were clean.   Very clean room, smelled clean and everything worked in the room that was supposed to work. It was close to the 55 Expressway which will take you right downtown Chicago. We also were able to go to Brookfield Zoo which was only about 10 or 15 minutes from the Motel. We were able to get coffee and food fairly easily nearby in the morning. The bed was very comfortable. And even though we didn't use the pillows (we always bring our own pillows), they had more substance to them than a normal hotel pillow. We were very happy with our stay and would recommend the Colony Motel.

But somehow they exceeded my expectations! So friendly and helpful, they really made us feel like they were to make our stay as pleasant as possible...a claim made by all hotels and motels, but a promise not always kept. Keep it up! - The hotel is a little gem. It was very clean, nicely decorated, very friendly helpful staff, great location with a lot nearby especially restaurants. The beds and bedding were really comfortable, loved the soft ribbed blankets and we didn't hear people talking through the walls. The Chicago magazine was really helpful and Pizza Ora was a great find.

  Above all expectations: this motel was the best and cheapest we stayed in during this trip. Newly remodeled clean room, they don't have a baby crib though, but gave us another bedspread and couple bed sheets. The room we got is huge, with a great big bed. There's also a flat screen TV in the room, however we didn't use it.
