Very lovely country house set in a quiet remote place next to a loch.The decoration is very refined in a modern Scottish style. The satff wasvery friendly. The dinner was great (all fresh and tasty). - Everything,it was perfect!

I stayed in the attic room, which was very quaint and had a ton of character, I absolutely loved the room. The location of this hotel is perfect for relaxing or hiking, it is located right near the water with amazing views. The new owners were friendly and trying hard to make all the guests happy; this included 'a wee dram' of whisky on arrival and a bottle of sparkly when our table for dinner was not ready on time. Very approachable staff; fabulous environs, warm, clean and romantic buildings and gardens. Loved the sense of history; staying in Flora McDonald's house.

I had asked for quiet rooms, and it was quiet and I slept well. The manager was very helpful to me with Directions etc. The meal was lovely and the prices reasonable. The location of the Hotel was perfect. We will hopefully go again next year. Reasonable rate for single occupancy. -
It does not look great on the photos but it's quite nice.

I would recommend this hotel for one or two nights.

We arrived after climbing on Ben Nevis soaking wet and tired - very friendly and welcoming staff provided us with paper towels to dry our boots. In the morning fantastic Scottish breakfast was served, excellent guest house location and view! :) What was crucial for us - very convenient car park! Very good value for money! -

Not solved was the problem with the corde for the ventilation inside the single room :-(

Good comfortable accommodation. Very friendly and helpful owner, provided transport to and from ferry as I was on foot. Superb breakfast, really sets you up for the day. I had the room with a balcony offering tranquil views of Sandwick Bay. Close to town centre.Very reasonable rates. -

This is a great place to stay. Good location just outside Stornoway. We stayed in the cottage behind the guest house and it was immaculate with great facilities. Donald is a very welcoming and excellent host. Thanks. - The owner was a great man. Founf myself sitting with him for an hour on the 1st night chatting away about the island, mainland

As a first-time visitor from South Africa, was blown away by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff and establishment. They all went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and special. Have to make special mention of Lewis who performed above and beyond what was expected of him :)
