Definitely best choice for Edinburgh. Have stayed at Balmoral 3 times already, and every time was an exceptionally pleasant experience. Love the superb location, warm and welcoming atmosphere, excellently polite and helpful staff, relaxing SPA area. Strongly recommend Number one restaurant for a delicious haute cuisine dinner.. -

We had a fabulous one night stay at The Chester Residence. Staff were very helpful and the suite was fantastic. All rooms were very spacious (we had the 1st floor suite) and the location was only about 5 minutes walk from Haymarket and Princes Street. This was our first stay in a serviced appartment and we would highly recommend a stay here, beats

Flat screen tv with multiple satellite channels. Kitchen well stocked daily with breakfast/snack items. Reception/housekeeping more than helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone and return to this hotel without a doubt.

apartment was quite clean. It gets a great breeze with windows open.
There is a lot of storage space available. - We liked the builidng design, facilities, furnishings, kitchen and bathroom facilities and location. Handy for Princes Street, Usher Hall, theatres and cinemas, but quiet too. Shops and restaurants nearby. Secure basement parking on site. Comfortable beds. Nice views of castle to rear and canal basin from lounge. Communal lobby and lift were clean too.

Stunning views from the house which was almost like a mansion. Unfortunately was really wet weather so could not take advantage of the riverside walk. But did see a fox outside the house one night.
Privacy to come and go at ease, plus car parking, a big plus. -

Apartment decor and furnishings were beautiful, clean, comfortable and felt like a home from home. Location was perfect, walking distance to major shopping precinct, bars restaurants, art galleries and train station. Staff were very polite and helpful. -

Lovely host who couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in the Oriental room and the decor and bed were fantastic. The facilities were excellent as we could prepare a meal in the kitchen and eat it at the beautiful oak dining table in the lounge/dining room. Booking was easy. This was followed by the landlord texting us and calling us with the c/in details. Arival and stay was hassle-free. Sav was very helpful and even supplied us with bread and cereal for breakfast. Though we only met on the last day of our stay - she ensured that she called every day and inquired into our stay and gave us hints on how to enjoy Edinburgh better.
