On arrival we were greeted at the door by the hotel manager and several
staff wishing my wife happy birthday. Then given a tour of the hotel and
shown to our room which was "FINGLE" it was wonderful.

A truly magical place. Even though we only stayed for a weekend, it felt much longer as we were so relaxed. The views and surrounding area are spectacular, and the welcome and service by the staff are the best that we have experienced. We had only been there about three hours and we were talking about when we could make a return trip. Truly wonderful.

The rooms are lovely, and the beautiful garden in a very peaceful setting allows you to relax and enjoy afternoon tea and cake, and later a pre dinner drink.

The room we stayed in was, I think, the largest in the hotel and was very comfortable. Very nice bed linen and well chosen bathroom fittings. Plenty of hot water for showers and bath etc. Also, the room was never too hot, which hotel rooms often are. The hotel was warm throughout, dispite the atrocious weather.Both the welcome and the atmosphere!
We were staying three nights and ate in every evening and couldn't fault it.
It was so nice to have proper sized bath sheets. Altogether very comfortable and we would stay again.

Absolutely Everything! One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff, the food, the rooms, absolutely perfect. The bathrooms were out of this world, with twin free standing tubs, a walk-in shower room and huge marble spaces. Loved the bathroom and general ambiance of the house, really genuine old enlish country house, very relaxing but not stuffy. Delightful family running it, all without exception very friendly. Delicious breakfast, and exceptionally clean rooms, they were tidied and cleaned up everytime we walked out of the door.

Just everything, I think perhaps they upgraded my single room. The view from the window was just stunning, breakfast was SO good, properly hand made using good ingredients, just such a treat to stay there. Staff were friendly, and helpful, the décor was lovely, ditto the room. I'd stay there again, no question of that, and such a perfect location

The hotel was very comfortable and staff friendly. The general atmospher was upmarket , with both guests and staff very polite. I have mobility problems and when I asked for a room near the lift , my request was instantly granted. I would thoroughly recommend a balcony room and the food was absolutely delicious.
