The breakfast is all fresh and local; no problem catering for my mother's gluten-free diet. -
The rooms, the food, the atmosphere, and the service were all great! Staying there was like visiting family that has a great chef.

Owners very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was comfortable and to a high standard.

Very friendly and comfortable, parked nearby. Easy to find and very close to busy and attractive town centre. The lake isn't far away either and very beautiful.

Located conveniently at the edge of the town, had a great welcome, with delicious homemade biscuits on the tea tray. Generously sized room (Ground Floor Twin) with very comfortable beds, lots of storage space. Electric sockets next to table and mirror. Good sized bathroom. Room clean and presentable. Lovely lounge with large TV.

From the moment we arrived we were made really welcome. Mike (the owner) was helpful in every way, showing us around and offering to carry our bags to our room which was very comfortable. Breakfast was a delight from the vast array of cereals & fruit available to the full English that we ordered on the first morning to the lighter choice on our second.

A very warm, clean and well equipped room. We brought our 'well-behaved' spaniel who loved the guesthouse and our host.
The cooked breakfast was excellant.
We were warmly welcomed, well fed and very well look after during our stay. We loved it!
And excellant value for money as well.

Brendan Chase is conveniently placed and just a half-hour walk to Lake Windermere. David, the owner who greeted us, was extremely helpful when we first arrived drawing a map for us and pointing out places of local interest and some picturesque walks we might have missed otherwise. Lovely stay at Black combe , did this on the spur of the moment and couldnt have picked better . Dot and Ed are two of the nicest most welcoming people , nothing is to much trouble . Warm comfortable room and a breakfast to keep you going all day . Good location for the beach, golf and country walks .Lovely food at the King William pub a minutes walk away

We are a family of four and stayed at the Peel for 7 nights. The rooms were clean and freshly repainted and on the way to being upgraded with ensuite facilities, new flat screen tvs etc.
David the manager was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help us.

I used this hotel for a single night stopover on my way to Keswick for a walking holiday. As such it fitted the bill completely, was comfortable, with good food, and pleasant, helpful staff. I would not hesitate to rebook.
