  I liked the fact that it was located so close to the city that I couldeasily walk to major tourist attractions. I also appreciated the use ofthe free car park. - The Mercure Lodge Hotel, Cardiff is a great hotel based about 5 mins from the centre - An excellent base for a weekend in Cardiff. Would reccomend :o)

  Excellent standing. Le spa est très agréable et le petit déjeuner très varié et de grande qualité. - We were upgraded to the master suite for the same rate we were paying, as there was some confusion over our booking. The best weekend thanku - The staff were particularly helpful with information for my grand daughter related to 'Doctor Who' . This was the reason for our visit to Cardiff. As a birthday present for a teenager who is mad about the programme. She had a lovely chat to your doormen who seem very knowlegable about the whole subject. The rooms have a wonderful veiw.

  Free upgrade to a suite because we were kept waiting for 20 minutes at reception was very generous. Free internet access in the room was useful, the room was immaculate and the bar restaurant downstairs was good.   Our 3rd floor room was clean, well equipped with towels and toilet sundries. Heating system was excellent and we liked the facility of being able to open the window for extra ventilation. The tea/coffee- making facilities were very good and there was no problem obtaining extra milks etc from the trolley. The staff were excellent: they were all pol... ce que les gens disent » ite and helpful and we liked the concession whereby we were excused having to pay the £5 parking charge because the lift was out of order. This was a - The staff were excellant, helpful and friendly. They gave us interconnecting rooms for us and our 2 grandchildren age 13 and 11 which was ideal. the room was pleasant and clean, it was in an ideal position for the shopping centre and the Mermaid Quay and the Dr Who experience all within easy walking distance. The breakfast was ok the continental part much better than the hot food.Good choice of drinks and proper orange etc. Good value for what we paid.
